  1. 99% of brands only have warranty applying to the original owner.
  2. Many orders made. many more will follow with Diald bikes. The service is excellent.
  3. Mistakes happen. It's what you do afterwards that makes the difference. That about sums up my dealings with Dial'd bikes recently. Previously had no hassles or problems. My last order is where things went pear shaped. Ordered a frame from them, and what should have been a 2 week wait from the supplier turned into 2 months of waiting (after manufacturer sent frame missing bits). The rave here is that Dial'd was a pleasure to deal with during this period, always answering queries and keeping me informed of progress (I might have nagged a bit as well, being eager for the new toy). So well done on the customer service side. Much appreciated.

    DH Rims

823's seem to be the ideal, but I can't justify that much on a wheel that might see use about 3-4 times a year..max

    DH Rims

I'm a little heavy to use Flows as DH rims (about 105kg). If I was I'd use the Flow EX rims I have on the bike at the moment. But thanks.

    DH Rims

Depends how much he wants. Just had to pass on a full wheelset as my car decided it needed the attention some more. Why I am looking to build up the wheels piece by piece.

    DH Rims

Due to life butting in I can't get a complete wheelset at the moment and am looking now to get it in bits and pieces over then next couple of months. Looking to be used as the alternate wheelset on my NS Soda for DH application. Will not be used too often as the main use for the Soda will be AM/Enduro type riding. Which means looking for a decent wheelset that will not break the bank. And I am a heavy rider at about 105kg, so strength will be one of the priorities. So far have been looking at local options and looking at the following Mavic EX721 Mavic EX729 (and I know about 823's but they about R600 more for a pair than these options) Dartmoor Raider (not much info/reviews on these) Spank Spike (35 EVO or 28 AL) WTB Frequency i23/i25
  8. Could not agree more....I need to do more of this, but the few rides I have had with more experienced riders had me doing things I would not have attempted had I not been with them..........(for me it was being led through Vasbyt at Tokai having never gone down there and wondering how I survived coming out the other end)
  9. Anyone have experience with the Thule Raceway 9003. Its a platform rack without having to get a towbar fitted. Looking to get one as the price seems reasonable in that regard (+/- R4000)
  10. And just when I fork out on new items.
  11. Damn........depending on local price ( and exchange rate changes) I might look at this over getting the NS Soda..........The options on this just seem a bit better........
  12. Got the 140-180 about 3 weeks ago. Was R5250
  13. hey. looking to join you guys tomorrow. finally have time to get out. (and a warning. .... fitness is bad at the moment)
  14. Nice looking bike. Where you get the Weirwolfs from....local or import?
  15. Saw the ad. Did respond to it, but at the moment waiting on money to clear through SARS before making final decisions. So still browsing options.
  16. I will be having money soon(ish.....maybe....depends on SARS). But in the mean time am planning to test the bikes that are on sale here, till I've made up my mind.
  17. I have been monitoring the classifieds. Been seeing options, but most are wrong sizes for what I am looking for (based off web geo at the moment)
  18. Looking at trying my hand at more of the DH tracks soon, and looking at the following options as my current bike feels a bit small on steeper descents (Current bike is a medium Mongoose Black Diamond) Buy DH bike, or get a new multi-purpose frame and swop over the parts from the Goose? A full DH rig would then mean I had 3 bikes in the shed and could specialise each more, instead of having more generalist setups, though just a frame upgrade would most likely be cheaper and mean less storage space. Currently looking at some of the 2nd hand DH bikes on sale, or some of the more freeride frames on the net (NS Soda has my interest for some reason) Any thoughts or recommendations?
  19. only if you had to follow me down
  20. Where you sourcing the steed from?
  21. Haven't ridden the track before, Is there anyone doing it this weekend? Looking to possibly follow down (am slow though) I would second that about the breathing.....my fitness is atrocious right now.
  22. Which trail is getting some work? I should be on the mountain, so am looking to come and help.
  23. I remember the drive being fun in places. But wasn't looking at tuning the bike on 6' drops
  24. Or in my case, I am sooo unfit at the moment, the downhill to the parking lot looks way more tempting.
  25. Thanks. Going to see if I can haul myself that far up the mountain this weekend then. Or if feeling too out of it just use My Roots.
