  1. In my experience Suito trainers don't aggressively smooth (lie about) power like wahoos - my workouts have fluctuations during ERG mode but are often very close to target average power for each interval. As long as you concentrate on holding a steady cadence it should average out.
  2. Just got the mail about registration 20 mins before it finishes.... 🙃
  3. No updated bikehub seeding google sheet for this year?
  4. Have 2 items, both my favourite bits of kit (Long sleeve thermal jersey and their reflective rain jacket) - absolutely superb quality. As mentioned above extremely pricey. First item I shipped to SA using a strava discount code which effectively 'covered' the import duties. 2nd item I waited for a friend to travel to SA and bring back with them (also using a strava discount code).
  5. fyi seedings from PPA Sportive #1 seem to have been calculated

  7. potentially price match (or close enough to) a unnamed addicting online bike store? https://bikemob.co.za/products/parktoolpcs-102deluxehomemechanicrepairstand?_pos=1&_sid=5b65ecbd8&_ss=r
  8. My 2c... Been plenty of occasions out on a ride where I've needed to react to something and either a) Stop immediately or b) Swerve around obstacle Riding with discs gives me confidence that I can choose to do either a or b, whichever is most safe and applicable to each situation. Sometimes swerving is not an option and even in dry conditions on a flat road the stopping power and modulation of hydro discs has saved my skin (and carbon).
  9. Used the Strava mobile app routing functionality this past weekend as I was visiting an area I hadn't cycled around and was unaware of the popular routes. It definitely did a good job of suggesting popular roads as there were many cyclists on the same route - only problem is that the tool's surface preference is a "use where possible" and there is no option to force it to use paved surfaces only. Got found out a couple kms in when the tar turned to gravel and was on my roadie.... oops. If I had actually opened up the route and scrolled down before importing it to my head unit I would have noticed the map said 10% dirt but I wish there was the option to lock it to use only paved surfaces.
  10. Quick q regarding the Elite Suito when set up for disc brake: There is a very small adapter on the drive side which gets inserted on the end of the cassette and sits between the cassette and the chain stay. This component is very short (about 0.5cm that sits on the inside of the cassette) and when it is inserted into the cassette it almost instantly falls out at the faintest of nudges. This part is just waiting to roll off into a corner and be lost forever. My question is if this is the case for everyone? I see there is thread on the inside of the 'axle' on which the cassette sits but the adapter isn't threaded, thus allowing it very easily to fall out of place (usually as I'm attempting to put my bike on the trainer). This is my only real gripe with the unit - hoping it is something I've missed rather than an actual issue...
  11. Re the battery indicator - I was also very frustrated with this and ended up adding the battery indicator manually to one of my data pages. Obviously not ideal but due to the screen size its understandable to remove it as it would be taking up space on an already very small form factor.

  16. Hi, had the same experience when I got my trainer recently and I started up a workout in swift with ERG mode enabled. Basically came to a grinding halt, did some googling and read this article which does a good job explaining ERG mode and the dreaded 'spiral of death' - the attached video is also very informative. Hope this helps ???????? https://zwiftinsider.com/erg-mode-in-zwift/
