  1. Presume you're talking MTB? There are some good instruction videos on Youtube.
  2. Woodstock Cycleworks has a karretjie off a farm. Side-by-side tandem, old motorbike wheels, steering wheel, little awning over the top ...
  3. Oy! Paula's a friend of mine. etv news reporter, I wonder whether she'll follow up on this one. I'll see if she's ok ...
  4. Interesting ... the sign shows two cyclists riding abreast! What is the world coming to?
  5. I'll have to try it, Wheelerdealer - I might have some among the 20 or so sachets still hanging about from last year's race season! (Now I feel like a coffee-flavoured Steri-Stumpie, or have they withdrawn those from the market already? Who in hell calls a product steri-Stumpie anyway? It should have failed dismally by every marketers calculations.)
  6. Hell, racing is cheaper than stopping at all the coffee shops on a lazy Sunday ride. Not that coffee-flavour GU is quite like a good flat white.
  7. Carlos Estevez is a moegoe. Hello! Anything in there?
  8. No man, it looks like a bad rendering in the Flintstones. Or a disused prop from Mad Max (the original). It's the spiritual equivalent of the open-shirted, hairy-chested, gold-chained poenda chaser. Pure hideousness. The only advantage to the matt black is that you can hide it in the garage and never have to look at it.
  9. I'd rather have the 1.5m law proposed and accepted, and drivers be made aware of it, than the situation that's existed in the past. Perhaps some drivers who haven't realised that bikes require some measure of space will now be more aware. V12man is also right. It gives us some measure of legal recourse.
  10. Hope all goes well, rsa ... jeez, sounds rough but you sound chipper. Fluid on the temporal lobe is a condition most Hubbers have, I think.
  11. Nice.
  12. Would one weld or braze in this instance?
  13. Groovy old thing, BTW. R119 new in the late 70s, if I remember correctly. Funny, everyone had Pugs in those days ... what happened to them all?
  14. Buttered, or salted? Hmmm.
  15. Ja, it's a Rapport ... steel .. fixable. Moenie paniekerig raak nie.
  16. While we're here, I'm always looking for old toeclips and straps and rat-trap pedals. PM me.
  17. I'm dubious of people who hold their leg with the long straw. But apart from that, it seems sensible.
  18. Shunned by the community, that's why he has to cycle alone! But no, it's good to hear of good things, even if the good news comes from a MTBer. Life is hard.
  19. Humph! Now I work from home.
  20. Anyone in lumo green should be arrested for wearing a loud kit in a built-up area.
  21. Of course, from this point, it can also get a whole lot better. Depends on how you look at things (and hangovers don't help). Hope they get your bakkie back, or you get a nice insurance payout.
  22. If it's last year, why does Dangle's Beeld article give the date as 7 January 2013?
  23. FSP 894 NW. I hope he dies.
  24. Haha! I actually found the receipt for my bicycle licence, circa 1974, the other day when moving my Mom's stuff. 50 cents, a bloody fortune in those days, especially for a 10-year old. I'll have to dig it out and post it sometime.
  25. It's all as confusing as an ANC policy document.
