  1. Hi Hubbers, Wondering if any of you would know of any cycling routes in Mokopane, Lephalale and Kathu? Looking for either road or MTB routes. Spending a lot of time between these three towns at the moment for work, and training and fitness have gone for a pile of 💩. Will be keen to take my bike with me if anyone can suggest some good safe routes, otherwise I will have to resort to some running again.
  2. I think as a starter, adding one day of gym work should be good. As your body develops and becomes stronger and starts recovering better from the gym session you could look at adding a second gym session. I find that going in slower to the gym sessions and ramping up the intensity of those sessions makes it easier for the body to adapt, Still being on the mediction could also be impacting your current form so just listen to your body and take it step by step. Good luck for the recovery!
  3. The only benefit I see is guys that need to ride XL and XXL frames won't have as awkward looking bikes as they have had.
  4. I usually get around 4-4500kms out of my Shimano chains, will admit that from 3000kms the chains do start to get quite slack and shifting is not always as efficient for the last 1000kms.
  5. Fully agree with you. Alan, is there, the other guys just have that little extra or do one more little thing right that gives them the edge over Hatherly right now. He is getting to that age where you find most athletes go through their peak and I am sure that he will get that break through soon, he is a regular podium finisher or just off it, which is an achievement in itself on the world circuit.
  6. It is difficult to say, marathon is strong discipline for Mitterwallner, she starts slow and finishes strong, but the conditions looked rough and I am sure everyone was hurting out there.
  7. I saw an Insta story with Candice after the race, where she said she had no idea that Mona was that close, I think if she did she might have completely buried herself to catch her.
  8. It is absolutely shocking that our postal service is like this, meanwhile my grandparents in Madeira receive cheques in their post still😂
  9. Mental to see how fast the tour riders climb up there compared to the amateurs that were riding up earlier in the day.
  10. Looks like he made it home just in time.
  11. I think this decision was a lot easier after what happened yesterday.
  12. It would be very interesting, not sure if Jumbo would allow two genuine contenders now though?
  13. I think Tadej and Jonas will kill him on the climbs, Remco is good but I think he is just a level below them.
  14. Jonas Vingegaard🤯
  15. I agree that it does work out cheaper, I just think the cost of the parts is what scares a lot of the guys wanting to go the Sram route, spending 10k+ (XX1/XO1) on cassettes, chains etc. is a lot of money when it is finally time to get new. It is what has kept me on the Shimano side for now.
  16. Well look what we have here. The new GX AXS UDH https://www.instagram.com/p/Cuj3m1CMB1Y/?igshid=MzRlODBiNWFlZA==
  17. Thank you for this, will double check as my father was saying his showed as geo blocked.
  18. You need to get VPN for the XCO as Supersport have the broadcasting rights.
  19. Have to agree with @ChrisF , I do not own or have not owned a Titan, but looking at the price and spec, they really are great value, from their entry to their premium products, they are generally better specced than the other brands.
  20. I think it could be tight, Pog hasn't had the best run up to the tour being injured, but at the same time some of that rest could have done him a world of good, just think they are possibly working hard to make up some training without blowing up come the Tour. Team UAE has looked a lot more solid this year, and Jumbo is always a strong, connected team, Cannot wait for the TDF to start and see who gets the better of the other this year.
  21. I don't know how I feel about the idea of deliveries on bicycles as the roads are already a risk with these delivery guys from MrD all the way to Checkers 60Sixty. I am guaranteed to see at least one sort incident or close call with these guys every day I am on the road, adding bicycles into the mix and these guys will be even more of a risk to themselves and other road users. All these things work really well overseas as the law is enforced and people are generally that much more respectful of others on the road, whereas here majority of the road users have become a law unto themselves.
  22. Just sent you a WhatsApp.
  23. I am looking at trying the Pirelli’s out, my Aspens are just really not dying, I thought they would but they just won’t die, I think you would need to go for a more gravel specific tyre if you want something even less xc like, I like the Aspens and they have really served me well.
  24. I am currently using Maxxis Aspen 2.4 and they really roll well on gravel roads, I have my pressures at 1.2bar front and 1.4bar rear, sometimes I will go just that bit harder if I know that I am going to do more tar than usual, but generally happy with my pressures. Do you not find the Pirelli's to be efficient enough?
