  3. wow guys, is it really that crazy. thought there would alot more people who whould do a second lapper. Like i said before. Hennie Wentzel was traing the one year for the iron man. He did the official argus in just over 3 hours i think and then he rode a second lap in 3:12... nou dit is yster....
  4. I think i read a article that said that for every 1kg you drop your power to mass ration goes up by 0.1.? and the the difference between a 5.5 and 5.9 watt/kg mass ratio is pretty big. So for all the guys who is riding R50000 sub 7kg bikes that are 5kg over weight that is money well spent hey... by the way. Ullrich's power to mass at form were 7.3 w/kg

  6. Each many brave wariors ride another lap. Because they cant get enough of the sport... Or mayb wana see the funny side of the Argus. We all chase a time but dont see the real Argus. The back markers. So who is joining them.
  7. How many people ride the argus a 2nd time with friends or family? There must be couple hardcore people out there. I know that the one year Hennie Wentzel (yes the legendary one) were training for the Ironman. He did the official Argus in 3:02 i think and then went around a second time in 3:13 i think?
  8. Ride hard on Friday and Saturday to get the legs going if you are a decent rider. If you are just a funrider like me then good luck...
  9. I have some excellent adivce for the Core thing... Last year i had a big crash before the epic and tore all the ligaments in my AC JOint in my shoulder. Did not get chance for rehab... eventually after the epic i started wall climbing (mountain) or bouldering as some would know it. at first my shoulder struggeled. I realised tho how week my abs were and my internal oblique and my whole core as a hole. I could not do half the stuff the other guys did cause i could not bring my legs up when you hang... anyways. now 8 month later i have abs of steel. dont have any more back pains and my arms and fore arms are so strong. I think it as improved my cycling by more than 20% and it beats going to the gym. nice to do some different on the weekends than just riding. now you can go on a weekend and ride and climb. check out this site for starters http://www.samountainmag.com one more thing. makes you lean and you dont pick up unwanted muscle! try it!
  10. have not read all the post but what about the Schwinn Peleton Pro i think that harmony is going to or riding on. Full Dura ACe with carbon frame and Ksyrium ES wheelset. Straight out the box for R23000 at 7kg...
