  1. Hey HR (or should we call you Methuselah from now on ), congrats on your 20,000th birthday !!! Why is your stomach resting on the saddle in the pic or is it a special type of geometry on the bike. (maybe you need more setback on the seatpost) racman2009-03-30 02:56:45
  2. Why not use it to symbolize your new venture somehow? racman2009-03-29 23:43:20
  3. Ok, now that I've got your attention - how about that 20 000th post !!!!
  4. New magazine to hit the shelves maybe ?
  5. going to look cool on your HT - where did you get it?
  6. I haven't tried Onetime, but wanted to have it build up by an Aluminium weld, preferably.
  7. Anyone know where I can fix this in JHB? I need to fix it urgently this week. Need to have it built up I think. racman2009-03-28 07:43:08
  8. Another rocket science filled statement So Harry1 now we know why you did not post a picture Jon0 and Harry1 go to school together. Maybe they should attend more often !!!!
  9. again Slowbee, my apologies. Was also going to be my 1st hub ride and, as I said earlier, was looking for a crowd so went on when didn't see any group. Of my 3 who were supposed to join, 2 also bailed. The sad thing is that thsi will probably be the last one that I can join before I move to JHB (although there is the DC hub ride I suppose )
  10. I thought journalism was your hobby and posting on the hub was your trade !!!
  11. Looks like 227-1 & of course 227-2
  12. Thx Ronelle, will find out but you can't miss them. Very inspirational stuff. One has only one arm (Graham Diesel I think) and they did the Sani2C as well. Gr8 pics
  13. Hey Ronelle, Any pics of the Dimension Data 3 armed team ?
  14. If we had to treat them like the idiots they now claim to be; they would be highly offended and insulted ..... Ok, I've said my sayracman2009-03-21 05:38:23
  15. What time were you there Slowbee? I rode down from my place and saw no group and then just went for a short 50km via Polkedraai. I must apologize though, as I didn't go into the parking and merely had a brief look as I came down the hill, as I thought BMC had cancelled the ride. (I must have misunderstood his earlier posts.) A pity as it was going to be the first hub ride that I actually make. Again, my apologies to you !!!
  16. Am I the only one who has noticed that prices HAVE actually gone up 25-40%!!!!!!????? I think what is continuing to fan the flame of hubbers indignation is the constant denial from FP that the minutes are inaccurate - extremely naive and pathetic attempt at evading the real issue. I also don't actually care whether all parties are honest, do not kick the dog or beat their wives, go to church on Sundays, Mosque on Fridays, ride a Porsche or a Panda, a Mini or a Mercedes (although I wont go as far as ShimaNO or Campagnolo ), give to charity or pay their taxes. The fact that they even attended or organized the meeting is an indictment of the cycling industry and I for one am disgusted by this action! I will NOT support any of the businesses of those who attended. Please understand that this is not a judgment of the outcome of the commission or the personalities mentioned but as a result of the absolute arrogance and hypocricy displayed ! Andrew, Fritz, Brandon, Anton and co - I am sure you are all great and honourable people, but what I am disgusted in is the sheer duplicity and assumption that all cyclists and/or people on this forum are either naive or stupid. What was done was conniving and immoral and the fact that it has been done by others and no doubt still is being done by other industries does not make it any less immoral. I have been guilty of enough wrongdoing in my life to knowthat the plea of "let's just forgive and forget" should not and does not exonerate anyone from law of consequence. Whether this incident fades away in the murky mists of the history of cycling in SA or not is not an indication of right or wrong. The true test is never open to public scrutiny and that is the intention of the heart! I wish you all well as you look at yourselves in the mirror - may you be satisfied with what you see.racman2009-03-21 01:12:05
  17. and if he had 800k to buy his first car would you rather recommend a CitiGolf because he isn't a racing driver and so shouldn't buy an M3. Let's get real here and regrettably, I know I will offend some, but no-one on the hub that I have communicated with is actually good enough to ride a 70k bike. Most of us ride better bikes than our true ability because: 1) We can 2) It makes us feel good 3) we enjoy the finer things (of course how fine is relevative to your wallett as well). I am nowhere near even an adequate rider and most, if they see me, will probably think I am not even that but ... who cares. I enjoy the experience or riding my BMC and that's fine with me. I don't care how good anyone is. If you enjoy the experience and can afford it (even if it is purely subjective JB) - then you have spent wisely and.. If you don't enjoy it then even a used R2000 bike is too expensive. P.S. please send flames and insults to www.iamaposer.com racman2009-03-19 09:46:04
  18. I am extremely offended and feel highly insulted by this comment. What gives you the right to refer to me when we've never met?
  19. HR HR, seems you are rather "fixated" at the moment!!
