  1. I would love a Morewood Zula but need some help to spec one at a reasonable price I've been hibernating since moving to Gauteng - life's been way too hectic with no cycling in 3 years either. Anyway, I think MTB is the way to go for my current situation.
  2. There seem to be quite a few decent Anthems and Stumpjumpers for sale. As a general purpose MTB with the view to do the odd stage race but also have a bit of fun on single track - which would you advise. Also any other alternatives to consider?
  3. Thx Mark - busy discussing with seller and will hopefully view this weekend.
  4. Thx - busy looking Is the Stumpjumber suitable for light XC work as well?
  5. OK, well I've been out of cycling and pretty much all things sport related for the last three years or so since moving back to Gauteng (still miss the Cape though ). I think the hibernation period is over and I've accumulated enough body fat for a few bleak winters as well!!! I am looking at starting MTB again and looking for a dual suspension MTB for myself and my wife, probably around R30k for both (probably medium and small or x-small) Any advice on good value bikes available, new or used, where to get the best deals in JHB or PTA etc would be much appreciated. Any dealers etc are also welcome to "pm" me as I have no intention of starting a price or gorilla marketing thread either. (Oh yes, for those sceptics - I don't work for a bike shop or the industry and this is a genuine request for constructive advice to help me spend my hard earned cash wisely) In short ... HELP!!!
  6. Looks like a Royal Enfield
  7. Hey Skye, get Adobe Photoshop Elements 7 to start with - about R1.5k. racman2009-06-14 14:02:53

  10. But I wasn't talking about the ones in Kommetjie !!!! You presumed that I was I suppose, but nothing in my post indicated that I was Anyway, If everyone knew where it was then it wouldn't be "False" no would it
  11. Is Kommetjie in False Bay? Yes, but if I'm wrong then I'm not reffering to that specific incident
  12. or similarly ... just because the odd whale beaches in False Bay in winter, doesn't mean thousands should migrate from Gauteng and do the same in summer. ha ha ha This MUST be the chirp of the year!!! All the mud slinging and .... all of you miss this gem!!! Chirp of the year well done racman. i was going to point out that racman is a part-time gautenger, but, because i like him, i let it slide? Did they beach themselves in False Bay? The beach is in False Bay - that would be the sand on the edge of the sea which makes the bay

  17. Congrats Windblown - looks stunning !!! Enjoy !!!
  18. It seems that the D60 doesn't seem to get great reviews - is this just Magazine/Review site bias? Ok, what if you had 20-25k to spend - how would you spend it to be sorted out for the prior puprose mentioned?racman2009-05-02 08:48:43
