  1. Love is a chemical reaction that doesnt last.
  2. International folklore says people going up have right of way, and a lot of SA seems to have adopted that mentality. Though going through old PPA and CSA manifesto's they actualy have it right and state people going down have right of way. Its safer as. 1. 99% of ST is designed to be ridden downhill and thats generally accepted. 2. The people going down do so at speed, and have less time to react or find a place to pull over 3. Going down you have more noise and your only looking 5-10m ahead of you and by the time you see an uphill rider its generally too late. The return of argument of the uphill riders ..... 1 ... It takes more effort to stop and start again.

    Dear Mods

just after 6:12 slow, and i dont mind a post being canned, but a reason for the canning would be nice as it was a cycling related post taken off a well known cycling magazine's page.
  5. If you going to kill a post please do supply a ******* REASON!!!!!!!!! I had a post killed for no reason with no explenation. Ony responses i had was TNT being his usual bitchy self and then whoop all gone.

Stans are normal stans just white. And 99% of any new bike will not come out with LUST tyres, they all come out with the foldable Maxxis. And the foldable maxxis are a lot lighter than the LUST versions due to "thinner sidewalls" that said ive been running my stock maxxis "non lust" tyres as tubless for the last couple of months so far not a single sidewall cut. So they hold up quite ok.

    Silverback Range

Had a SB when i started they are in fact great bikes, but since they sell them at a decent price point people tend to look down on them. They are tough and great value. Back in the day my entire phoenix bike cost 6k, i thought hell let me upgrade the frame to something lighter, ordered a morewood kwela frame for 7k (just the ht frame) proceeded with stripping down my bottom of the range SB, weighed the frame, only to fine out that my "bottom of the range" phoenix frame weighs 40 grams heavier than the top of the range morewood HT frame. Moral of the story, some people perceive them as being cheap low value bikes, they are not, they are well designed have great geometry, and have excellent groupsets, at sometimes half the price of the "more expensive brands" Go for it. Get one.
  14. Probably wont support it but if the cyclist wants a darwin nomination, well I can't help recall what we were told when we were kids. As jy dom is moet jy k@k.
  15. Your welcome to answer any way you like mate, fact is your previous post to say least an insult to your own level of intellegence, This thread may head where it inevitably will, fact of the matter is that the dude in the vid is a tjop and anyone that thinks otherwise is of the same genepool and should be removed from society.
  16. Heman the only place where we would have a speed limit of 40 in SA is at school crossings, for the rest of the residential and suburbun areas your between 60 / 70 / 80 depending on the road and the area. and 66 in a 60 zone is not over the limit actually 69 in a 60 zone is still within the limit, take that and the fact that 99% of cars are detuned by at least 7kmh, he was actually going less than 60 in all probability. This guy on the bike is a total tjop, and he should get his brans splat all over the road, just please dont post it on the hub when that happens becuase then we have to sit through another 50 page thread on motorists being the source of all evil while the poor innocent cyclists are just targets and can do no wrong.
  17. work..........
  18. Lol no worries its all cool by the pool.
  19. Have to buy a complete bike to get a frame, though if you speak to the distrobuters and your willing to wait for a strip down to come in they will put your name on a list, Its desinged for 100mm but the 950 comes with the revelation u turn that can turn it into a 120mm AM beast for the really rough stuff.
  20. Renay Groustra <renay@sciencetosport.com> He does the ergo fit, not sure where you can do a BGfit if thats your preferred method of assesment. for more info check out this fred https://community.bikehub.co.za/topic/113971-professional-bike-set-up-feedback-comments-opinions/page__st__16__p__1605244?do=findComment&comment=1605244
  21. You wont be sorry i essentially just bought it for the frame as i want to put my own spec components on the bike. so i just got the 930 (like the black) but that said upgrades are on order, and even without it having top of the range parts, I have destroyed every single track/trail time i have set historically that thing just shreds. Cant wait to put on the new bling and see how it goes. However if you dont want to spend too much on upgrading go for the 950.
  22. Its like your in my head ..... get out!
  23. Thank ibruegge, i did take one for a week for testing, found its a good bike but the rear shock is very dissapointing, also tried the Anthem 29'er which i liked a bit more than the scott but The anthem had less of a racey feel to it and more of a trail bike feel. But eventually spent a lot more than both those bikes cost and got a rocky mountain element, and all i have to say is WOW holy mother of pearl what a ride I might never buy another bike again.
  24. Look into ergomax of BGfit, having your bike setup done at the shop is like having sex with a one legged hooker. Best R550 bucks i ever spent. Did the ergomax, and those couple of mm they changed my setup, WOW what a difference.
  25. sias Bryton follows the same design models as Garmin, you get the bike versions, i.e. garmin edge, and you get the watch versions i.e forerunner. Bryton does the same bike units / watch units. Garmin just has the multisport units which bryton doesnt have. All in all though i love my garmins Edge 500 for the bike, and forerunner 110 for gymming and cross training.
