  1. How is the marvel one holding up? Do you have any problems with it?
  2. @NickJust a suggestion. What about adding a required field for mileage when posting an ad in the e-bike section and then filtering by it as well? Maybe even on the normal MTB section?
  3. The bike is probably not stolen. They use photos off of Bikehub or other facebook ads and pretend that they are selling the bike. When you want to view the bike they will probably ask for a deposit or threaten you when you arrive for money. Very slim chance that the person is actually selling that bike.
  4. Does the use of different cassettes made from different materials or coatings have an impact on chain wear? Example: X01 chain on GX cassette, and X01 chain on X01/XX1 cassette.
  5. It is a pain to change brake pads on the new spark, bolt is blocked by the frame so literally have to take off the caliper from the bike. Doing that to dozens of sparks at the epic gets frustratingšŸ¤£šŸ¤¦ā€ā™‚ļø
  6. Is there a specific product or "model" bib from rapid that you would recommend?
  7. Hopefully it won't take 13 years to arrive...
  8. The brakes on the silverback, Nutt, are knock off tektro brakes. The rear brake goes bad after a while. Takes about 2 to 3 squeezes to work again. I have seen this happen on a lot of Silverback Stride SX bikes. And for some reason this is not a bleeding problem. I think they are just bad quality. Also the sram sx derailleur will need to be replaced in the future, it will wear out and shifting will be a problem. Just go with a bike with a shimano drivetrain in that price range.
  9. I have also messaged a scammer on facebook, the one selling the scott spark in a previous post on this forum. I ended up talking to him on messenger and said I am on my way to collect. Long story short after a while he said that I am wasting his time and that "we are leaving".
  10. Stripped threads perhaps?
  11. Try and avoid Sram SX components (derailleur and shifter specifically). They do not last long. Compared to Shimano deore 12spd, I would much rather get Shimano at that price point
  12. Have a look at Zini as well. Very good specs for the price. I would suggest either the Zini trail or elite. You get a 1X drivetrain, hydraulic disc brakes ,both from Shimano, and an adjustable air fork. Think the trail retails for around R11 500 and the Elite for around R15 000, which leaves you room for upgrades and/or accessories.
  13. Is it perhaps the sola 1 2020 that you are talking about?
