If you are looking at new bikes I would reccomend Zini( Trail, Comp and Elite) and GT avalanche bikes. Zini comes with shimano components and GT comes with microshift / tektro. Please avoid sram SX and NX derailleurs and shifters on bikes.

The Bike pictured here is a Merdia Big Nine TR(Trail). As far as I know this is not being sold in SA. Cytek told me end of last year they won't bringing it in to SA

I watched a video about it yesterday. They showed that it can be used as a normal Bike with the battery removed. I believe the battery and motor is one unit.(not 100% sure on that) Bike weights about 18KG with everything on and 15KG without battery/motor unit.

If I remember correctly the 34 is on the DC bike, looking at pics from the launch. I read the specs and it does say 32 and not 34

Expensive bikes (top end bikes for athletes) has been a thing for a long time. If these bikes are targeted at pro cycling teams, why are they advertised to the general consumers. Seems like if they mention the prices of these bikes, lots of comments gets made. Why not just exclude some of the details. That's just my opinion

As already mentioned, it is not a normal brake. When you apply brakes, the motor will automatically cut out due to the sensor in the lever. Not sure of the exact pricing, but it should be around that price inc labour to bleed. Sportsman's warehouse is not a bikeshop, so don't be surprised if they just want to send it back to the manufacturer. I assume you bought the bike there, hence taking it back to them. Is anyone familiar with the hubs on the bike (expert model). Formula 511 front hub and Formula 3248 rear hub. Is it sealed bearing hubs? Can you get a microspline freehub for this hub?

I would recommend the Maxxis Crossmark II. They do not wear out fast when riding on tar

sounds like cable tension is not correct or the cable is sticky in the housing. It can also be a bent derailleur hanger or cage. Regarding your spokes. If the other nipple/spokes of the rest of the wheel is not corroded, then simply replacing those 2 spokes will not be a problem

Shimano does a 11speed drivetrain with a 11-51t cassette that fits hg freehub body. Called m5100. Cassette looks identical to the 12speed deore apart from the one gear missing. You will need to buy the m5100 derailleur to work with the big 11speed cassette. The current shifter should work on that derailleur
