  1. Almost died laughing here!
  2. Thanks Chris, attended on Saturday and learnt quite a bit! The basics looked much easier than they actually are. I realised how much there is to learn!
  3. I always thought that it is "no brain, no pain!" (bro!)
  4. Hectic...but I do hope that all the riders safely discarded their used energy bar/protein bar wrappers...
  5. Holy sh1tstick!
  6. Nice, but a little too Italian-baroquish... Oh, and I drive a Nissan bakkie as well!
  7. hahaha, stand down soldier!
  8. According to this newspaper article Daryl Impey has allegedly tested positive for a masking agent used to mask the use of banned substances! http://goo.gl/nYHmKE
  9. Howdee, I did a cycling trip with 3 of my buddies December 2 years ago and rode from PE to Buffelsbaai. We went through the Baviaans Nature Reserve with a back-up vehicle. We stayed at Komdomo on the second night of the trip and then rode through the reserve to 'Bo-Kloof' if my memory serves me correctly. Did 104km with a tad over 2000m ascent and rode 12 hours...it was the most rewarding cycling trip of my life!
  10. Noted, but they could probably do it in crocs too... I think that a distinction should be drawn between making claims that are unfounded (which was the subject of the class action lawsuit) and mere 'puffery' about the qualities of the shoes. No doubt that one can run in them etcetera (even do marathons such as the people you have referred to) but one cannot claim something that cannot be substantiated, ie. material claims in a legal sense - then it would be a material misrepresentation.
  11. For those that are intested in the aesthetics, here's a link to their website showing all their shoes http://goo.gl/9nVPl
  12. Wow, I didn't expect the response that I got from this post! Just thought that it was quite interesting and decided to share! Thanks for the comments and posts.
  13. Interesting article that I've spotted where Vibram, the company that brought us the 'barefoot shoe' was recently at the receiving end of a class action lawsuit in the US of A...bottom line, their claims relating to the benefits of their particular shoes could not be achieved and now they are paying for it! Reminds me of the 'powerbalance' bracelets... Here's the link...http://goo.gl/H7GJE1
  14. At least it may enable me to pick up chicks in a bar a little easier if they know I ride a Porsche. Then afterwards say, "Sorry luv' I said that I ride a Porsche, not DRIVE one...big difference!"
  15. If I am not mistaken the one bike is set up for 'cycling' (simulating a pedalling motion with the arms) and the one for the 'running' part is set up differently (using both arms at the same time to 'crank', not pedal, the bike forward).
