  1. I also saw a cyclist on the N14 towards Krugersdorp...about 3km;s before Muldersdrift. Why would they do that?
  2. I think it depends on the goals you set for yourself. Like Racingsnail said, the londer stuff are more hardcore. We want to do the " Karoo to Coast" next year, so obviously longer races are the order of the day. You race against others, but most of the times it;s against yourself. In the shorter races its more to beat your best time/average speed and in the longer ones to complete it while still being able to breathe and walk afterwards!
  3. I guess the situation determined my reaction. Something more serious would have resulted in something totally different, like uttering disgusting words, showing not so friendly signals etc etc but it was really funny actually. But I think Marrick's idea should be investigated further
  4. Guess I find my setup logical because I've never ridden a bike... Can probably fiddle around a bit and see if the oppsosite work just as well or even better
  5. hhmmmmmmm...............
  6. Generally the majority of motorists in Centurion (on my training routes though) are quite nice. But I guess they have to be when they see yours truly giving such huge turning signals.... One other incident was also quite funny, a guy in a bakkie turned left without his indicators on, I then uttered a few less friendly words, and he wanted to stop and sort me out. Luckily the traffic was hectic, and I really didnt want to spray someone with my pepper spray unless they attempt to hijack my bike. Most times all we can do is to laugh at these guys
  7. Mine is the same. It Just makes sense: Left is front brakes and front Derailer Right is rear brakes and rear derailer
  8. Nope, not at all....just thought the whole incident was quite funny
  9. could have been his long lost twin brother though..
  10. About 10km's, so yes....but it was a whitey..
  11. So I was on my daily ride when passing a small shopping centre in the neighbourhood. Watchful as always, I see this dude with a lekker moustache and souped up Yaris is not going to let me pass first before entering the road from the mall parking. Duly slowed down and we missed each other by a meter or so. All I said was "sjoe!" to which he responded "F-of jou po*pol" I burst out into laughter, and actually want to thank him for making me grin the rest of the way home. Sometimes us cyclists need clowns like you!

  19. Also heard that furniture polish like Mr Min might also work. I know it works very well removing double-sided tape. Now you have 5 solutions
  20. I've been there a few times to browse around when I needed a breather at work, even their general prices seem to be quite good. Good that you mentioned the KCNC stuff, need to start thinking about some "upgrades" if u know what I mean...
  21. And their prices? AT the moment my MTB is still fine, just dunno when it should go for its 1st service
  22. RIP fellow cyclist
  23. My flowmeter is built into me. Look down at cyclecomputer, take 2 sips every 5km's and it works like charm. AND it's mahala!
  24. Thanks Guys I saw a few threads on this on the Hub. Think I will end up buying what is needed. Just thought I'd check out all the options. Will go read up on powder coating and anodising anyways. Later! BTW DMC007: 1 week no puffs!!
  25. I'm considering pimpin my MTB a bit and at one stage thouhgt I could buy all the bits & pieces (skewers, seat post clamp, front derailer clamp headset spacers etc) but wouldnt powder coating work as well? thought it might be a bit more cost effective and quicker.
