    Stolen DH Bike

change out those *** ztr flow rims. They are so soft
  2. where do you buy that ? Keen to give it a try
  3. Go onto stravas site and look at tech issues, see if you're problem is listed on there
  4. what do you want me to explain?,that there is less dirt and grime when riding on the road compared to mountain biking or that your drive train components wear at the same rate.
  5. Nope season was over a couple months ago
  6. from the mountain bike side it's definitely not a con,it all wears at the same rate, but I'm new to the road stuff where you have no mud and grit so you obviously have far less wear on components
  7. Do you guys get away with just a new chain or do you bang on a new cassette and blades aswell,I have a park tool chain checker and my chain is on the 0.75 setting now,I'm not sure to put on a new chain and risk it slipping or to ride the current drivetrain into the ground and replace chain cassette and blades in one go?
  8. haha probably! My Easton Havens make a rad sound when you pluck the spokes. Maybe I should buy a guitar tuner and tighten them all to a C note
  9. I know that Easton wheels are acoustically tuned if the factory before they are sold so it might be possible omnico have to use the same tuning process being the agents. That could explain sending the wheels to them but not the long waits in between.
  10. I'd like to add that nige is a small guy, I've had codes, elixirs formula the ones I've also ridden saint on my bros bikes, besides the elixirs they have all been good. The main thing for me is running 203mm rotors, makes a huge difference, obviously keeping a watch on pad wear and starting off the season with a brake bleed is important. I'm currently riding with some BlackBox Codes with 220mm rotors and they are absolute beasts, one thing that is crap is that they have carbon levers and if your gloves don't have good traction on the finger tips they get slippery even in the dry
  11. Its a huge breed of horse,
  12. Bleak that I cant ride this, stuck with exams.
  13. looks cool thanks, haha probably the worst music ever!
  14. Nige the weekend after the 15th of November,we must hit up Karkloof cos its the trail blazer on the 25th
  15. whats the best stuff to ride?
  16. haha if he chunders i will take a pic and post it here.
  17. ok but you still missing out that World Champs will probably only ever be here once.
  18. Yeah.. Haha was just saying if I had to
  19. and you have never been to a world champs in your own home town, and will probably never get the opportunity again where as Morzine has been there long before you started going and will be there long after you stop riding. Its like getting 1 chance to bang a super model who you could never get, or banging some bird you could get a lot of times
  20. If I had to choose,it would be World Champs, france will always be there next year, but a world champs 2 minutes from my house-priceless
  21. Whats up Cape Town AM/Trail Gurus, Im coming down to CT on the 3rd November till the 9th Staying in Somerset West, Im keen to go ride while im down there, whats the best trail/am stuff around there? What does is cost to ride? are there marked routes?. Im also very keen to head out to Jonkers as I have only ever raced DH Nationals there and always seen such prime trails driving up in the shuttle. Tokai is another option but its pretty far and Im not keen to get my Sukuma Stolen. Any advice would be great and if any of you guys would be keen to meet up that would be sick.Already planning on riding with Omega Man if he decides to harden up haha
  22. haha I knew there was something you werent telling us,the trick is dont do those haha,If there was a landing id say no worries, probably the fastest way to break something on your bike. Imagine the force being generated.
  23. Firstly why are you doing drops of that height to flat?,you will undoubtedly end up braking something on that bike sooner or later. Secondly I find this a bit hard to believe, are these drops on popular trails?,or are you finding things to drop off ie banks?,most dh rigs would bottom out on a drop from 1.7m to flat. My advice avoid them or find a landing further on with gradient that you can jump to.
