Hello Drak Descenders,
From the Sani Spoors Team a hearty, healthy Compliments of the Season to all of the cycluminati. We trust that you have enjoyed a wonderful Festive Season that allowed time to spend cycling the backroads of our beautiful country…
The Spoors Team have been working furiously on the Drak Descent route for 2016, including new single track that is sure to challenge and thrill the most widely travelled cyclist. This is real Mountain Biking – while the distances of the days are not huge, the Single Track will traverse terrain that is spectacular and challenging! You are guaranteed to feel a sense of accomplishment when you reach the finish! The areas explored are untouched and offer what has been described as “South African MTB’s best kept secret!”

Hi Owen. As of Wednesday last week there were 60 team positions available and a few solo's as well.
OK, race is on for last spot, with current non-training regime I am odds on favourite!
No, thats the big rock on Day 1, it is rideable, although I fell my ass off.
The compulsory portage section on Day 2 is still there, It can be done, problem is if you do fall off there, the outcome is rather terminal. It is only about 50 m. We are looking at a boardwalk type of path, time and money will tell.
Yip, do a team.
[You can also check out the Spaz Butcher for front & Slaughter (Grid version) at the back.
Good grip on the front & not too much rolling resistance
Any thoughts Slaughter front and rear?
Sorry for late response,
R1000 per team.

Thanks guys. There are two new sections of trails that are incredible riding.
Day 1 will not have "Jackall Joll" climb at the end, but will be fast flowing single track along the umzimkulu.
Day 2 cuts out the "Eskom climb" and hugs the Umzimkulu around the bends.
The drought is playing serious havoc here, we hope the rains come soon, for farmers and paddlers.
