  1. Awesome job! I am about to embark on the same journey. Hope mine results in as good an outcome.
  2. Must have been an awesome experience!! Congrats on completing it. Next stop: Race to Rhodes!
  3. ****-hot with Team Endura, then a non-event with Sky....mmmm...bit fishy, eh? How does one become so mediocre from one year to the next?
  4. Yup! One of the more colourful strips in the peleton in those days! Always made me have a quiet giggle.
  5. I still love those Scott USA bars on Lemond's old bikes!
  6. very nice. reminds me of stephen roche's carrera days.
  7. Good luck and enjoy!!
  8. Snap! I also wondered why, at this critical time, they had no stock of several items wanted. They used to have awesome stock levels and availability.
  9. Agree 100% - that's exactly what I did. If you become a professional wheel-builder, the Brandt's book is the reference material.
  10. Good choice. You go to the website, pay and download via the link. I have received my first update, so you are always assured of the latest edition.
  11. Johan Bornman used to have copies for sale. If you are looking for a manual, Roger Musson's book is awesome. Brandt's is much more dry - incredibly detailed, lots of science behind the art. I have a copy of Brandt's book, but I found for a practical "how to guide", I would go for Musson's first.
  12. Trademark is registered as such in Canada, not in Europe and the US - or anywhere else, for that matter. It would be laughed out of the application process. Fuji is obviously not produced in Canada - it would be interesting to see if the bike is sold there... Perhaps Specialized do not want a fight with someone (the company that owns the Fuji brand, and Kestrel and Oval concepts or L'Equipe/ASO who own the Roubaix race...) who can actually fight back. Very cynical ploy by Specialized in this respect.
  13. Trending on Google and Twitter as well. Social media rocks (sometimes)

  16. The brand makes amazing bicycles, but this is just plain wrong. Just saw a similar article on cyclingnews. http://www.cyclingnews.com/news/specialized-pressures-canadian-bike-shop-to-change-name Sad, really that they can defend their position with a straight face. Remember Volagi? Almost shut them down too.
  17. I remember he rode a mountain TT with only one downtube shifter(may be wrong, but that's what it looked like). Also rode a nude frame that day - supposedly shave a few grams off as well.
  18. Easier to "trim" on the move and eliminate chainrub. Friction rules, man!
  19. Lose some weight and climb better - a LOT better. More kms Simple, really...
  20. Just joined - awesome idea! Can't tell you how many times I have been almost hit and have been hit twice, so kudos for actually doing something.
  21. Contact Dwayne at BigWheel MTB - he will sort you out. He is the only one who returned my call - result: I only buy MTB stuff from them - no-one else. https://www.facebook.com/BigWheelMTB bigwheelmtb@gmail.com You won't be disappointed, even though you are in a different province.
  22. Dunno - gotta take the good with the bad when it comes to cycling history...
  23. love your work, gummi!
  24. Such a pity Ben Serotta was so cynically ousted from his own company. Sad to witness the death of such an awesome bike brand...
  25. The problem with projects, is that they just beget more projects! I am never finished with my projects. Just the way I like it!
