  1. on a serious note, surely you can manage on 30x22 for most of what you riding? then you'll be fine with a 24 up front, using the 34 at the back if you need (not exactly the same ratio, but close).
  2. Thats a very small chainring for 1x10...
  3. I <3 restivals.
  4. Paraffin works great, especially if you use a thick lube. However, its messy and a bit of a mission. I just use FGS chain cleaner after each ride, and remove the chain and soak it in paraffin for a deep clean every 8 - 10 rides. My lube is thin, paraffin wax-based (T9).
  5. Cycle lab sells a tube-compatible Joe's version of sealant - its made of a different material, and is much more viscious than tubeless sealant. I use it at home for the kids bikes. It comes with a tool to remove the inner part of the valve, then just pour into the choob and you're sorted.
  6. where do you put the remote lockout?
  7. and a dropper post.
  8. hmm... sinister. if any tape were to work, it would be duct tape. Maybe wrap some cling wrap around it first.

  20. Anyone know what the best email address is for queries around entering this event? I clicked their T's & C's and found "entries@adventurance.co.za" as their email address for entries, but it bounces with a "no such mailbox" error. Wanted to query the early bird pricing from the adventurance website: Early Bird - 18 Augustus 2013 Midnight Fun Race (Approx 10km) - R60.00 Fun Race (Approx 20km) - R90.00 Half-Marathon (Approx 40km) - R130.00 Marathon (Approx 70km) - R160.00 But eventry.co.za isn't offering the early-bird option. The price is not an issue, and don't mind paying the R190 if it was advertised like that up front.
  21. do they have a hard tail version?
  22. No chain dropping on the wolf ring without a guide? Been looking at the longer teethed (?) rings, but still nervous about not getting a guide with it.
  23. Don't drag my missus into this!
  24. TV broke. :-/
