  1. This is exactly what i want to do but i want to do it in a group as you mentioned as one cant be too safe. I have GPS that i ride with so im planning on just having the map open to see where "tracks" lead off and we can do our own thing. I just wanted to confirm that there are "trails" there, i know bredell has a ton of dirt road and its 3km from home so really close and i just wanna get the bike dirty i dont need a park if i can be out in the open doing my own thing. Truly appreciate your post thank you kindly.
  2. I just wanna use their trails so will try make friends hahahahaha
  3. Thank you for the info much appreciated. Will give him a follow now and check his routes thank you so much.
  4. Next week we will get a post about someone that got gummed down at Huddle hahahaha
  5. This looks pretty cool but he said it was "self made" routes that the guys just ride through the agricultural area so wanted to see if anyone has info. I will head out that way this weekend and see what i can discover maybe map a route of what i find, been craving some serenity lately and just wanna ride dirt where there is no one else.
  6. A mate of mine said there are trails running through this area thats used by MX and 4 wheeler guys, is anyone able to confirm this?
  7. This is what annoys me most about the trails at the GC's their "Memebrs" can get away with everything due to the exorbitant price they pay for a membership.
  8. I shouldn't have but i did laugh at this Also funny We also enjoy huddle, mostly stick to the forest and the uphill leading back to the intersection at the top for fitness and we finish off with the outside ring back to the parking lot.
  9. Checkout Decathlon i bought a pair of baggies for R229 (https://www.decathlon.co.za/p/8381864_st-100-mountain-bike-shorts-black.html) and as mentioned previously the Mr Price Dri-Sport works great (https://www.mrpsport.com/en_za/men/fitness-apparel/dri-sport-apparel)
  10. Went for a ride there today, LOTS of switchbacks but it was pretty fun it keeps you on your toes at speed. Only recently got back into riding so testing the waters everywhere.
  11. Simply put, i told the wifey she allowed me to get a bike she cannot complain if i want to ride and its free to ride so she has to deal. I also posed the question to her about her hair straightener and she told me im ridiculous so i told her that her argument is invalid as the same goes for my bike, she needs to straighten her hair and i need to ride lol
  12. Hi, Just want to find out if anyone knows if the "route" that used to run behind RTT and next to the runway is still there and accessible? Thank you
  13. Thats why we stuck to the "fun" sections in the "forest" cause all the usual trails were full of non cyclists and it does get annoying especially when they make little remarks, i had a couple stop right in the middle of the trail after they saw me. It seems pedestrians and dog walkers are out for us cyclists all of a sudden. Red barn was just as bad 2 weeks ago, upon exit of the track there were so many people and dogs that we decided we would rather take a drink break than challenge the gauntlet.
  14. Standard bank to standard bank transfers over weekends has seen some issues of late but they won't admit it. Sorry you got done in I hope this gets settled.
  15. I am based on the East Rand in Boksburg Sir.
  16. I bought a cheap MTB because the frame reminded me of my Merida Matts i had a few years ago. I would like to upgrade the crappy parts as i go along. If anyone has a 26er front suspension disc brake fork lying around doing nothing please contact me i am willing to buy the item.
  17. Had a quick ride there yesterday had some fun.
  18. I bought a "cheap" MTB cause I really liked the frame, I'm slowly going to upgrade the parts that are shody. Currently I'm looking for a 26er disc brake fork, it can be cheap, the one i have is really really cheap so anything will be better as this one bottoms out if i look at it too hard, based on the east Rand if anyone has anything.
