Calm down. I have nothing to be jealous about. I am blessed every single day of my life. So I dont do jealousy. I was speaking in general. We spend so much time bitching about rain, wind , its too hot , its too cold. And when we are finished moaning and we look, the wind is still blowing, it is still hot... etc..y point is that we could focus our energy in a more positive way.

The shite with me is that the older I get the more hardegat I get. I have a point to prove and am willing to kill myself proving that point.It hurts like hell to no longer have the ability to mix it up at the sharp end of the race. I think I have found my happy place in ultra endurance stuff. Chilled crowd of hard ass okes trying to finish epic stuff I like it.

And just to close off the weekend I gave Santa some late Sunday afternoon love.

Got humbled by the Karoo. 38 degrees, block headwind, serious elevation (for a Free Stater). My partner pulled the plug just short of 170km. Cramping like a meister. Riding 500m and then walking 500m. He claims it was an off day. I think it could have been the 38 date fingers that he stuffed down his cake hole. Anyway, decision had to be made. I had the choice, carry on riding or do the team thing. You know that one for all, all for one thing. I chose the latter. I am convinced that it was the correct decision as my trip switch wasnt far from flicking. All in all a great weekend ride. I had the opportunity of meeting fellow hubber and all round good oke Fanievb. Magic oke. Was a privilage. B.t.w I think that Strava was generous with the elevation.
