  1. I watched the Illinois State University marching band practice last year when we were having a Climate Change conference at the Uni ... they are amazing ... they practice every morning and every evening! ...
  2. http://ksj.mit.edu/sites/default/files/images/tracker/2011/yawn2-300x225.jpg not another thread on this!
  3. The wife is 1.58 (about) ... and rides a Ladies specific geometry Small .... Her old bike had 710's but she wanted wider as she was holding on the edges of the bars all the time ... So the new bike has 730's
  4. In order of importance 1. Have fun on my bike 2. Travel to Norway and defend my Worlds Champs Title. 3. Win KZN Champs and KZN DH Series (hopefully no weddings get in the way like last year) 4. Do some exploring on my trail bike with my mates to find new trails in the Berg 5. Do the SA Cup event in Lesotho
  5. its called a "Marsh Guard" .... Minnaars in PMB had them in stock
  6. and a close up of the seat and dropper post
  7. and here is Jo's "final" build ... the bike will stay like this until January as we have the glitter bars on back order with Funn. The colour coded ladies specific seat worked perfectly and was an almost exact colour match.
  8. no worries
  9. hahaha ok here are 2 pics of how we load the bikes ... they are not this exact mat as there are no bike strap hoops for the down tubes ... But you get the idea. I will load some of my bikes later onto the new mat to show you if you want - but im sure this gives you a good idea.
  10. We realised that ... ... but then again ... this tail gate mat is not designed just for DH riders .... The beauty with it is that it can fit any bike ... with ANY wheelsize, and any Fork combination!!! EVEN ROAD BIKES ...
  11. ??? Riaan - I dont see how I can be a spruit rat when i live in Durban! ... and the mats are being made in Durbs too ...
  12. Yes they do - but ... 1. - you can fit more bikes in this way 2. - you dont need to take the wheels off 3. - a lot of bikes are now coming out with either 15mm or 20mm thru-axle front forks that dont fit the conventional quick release brackets. 4. - you dont need to loosen the stem to turn the bars to fit in more that 3 bikes as the wheel is turned over the tailgate already 5. - you dont need to custom make a bracket for the back of your bakkie - here you just strap the mat onto the trailgate and off you go Id like to see you fit 5 bikes comfortably on your car roof. .... oh and i can also drive in under those height restriction barriers ... cars with bikes on the roof cant ... seen it happen at the Pavillion ... not pretty when its a brand new bike and it hits the height restriction barrier.
  13. hahahaha id like to see you try!! you will be there a while!!
  14. very cool!
  15. hahahaha what a tool i am - but then again the Devinci was delivered to my door at work ... so thought CRC would do the same. Anyway ... off i go to the postoffice! hahaha
  16. i think i'll just have to go to the postoffice and ask.
  17. hmmm theres a cockup - .... we dont have a postbox!!
  18. hmmm thats what i was thinking may happen. better go and check our postbox downstairs (if we even have one)
  19. Okes ... quick one .... I have some bits and bobs coming from CRC and like a complete tosser I forgot to get the shipping that has a tracking number ... From the CRC website it says the parcels take 8 working days or so (which is today) ... But now ... I have always shipped with mates etc - never to myself So i have my work address as the billing and delivery address, ... So do i just wait for the package to be delivered at our offices? Do you then pay the courier directly for the excess (VAT)... and then also - any idea what would happen if no one is in the office when these characters try to deliver?? (I ask as we are having our staff party on Wed - and i can see that knowing my luck they will try and deliver then)
  20. and some more of the A-line obstacles looks like a big bmx track

  24. Hey guys and gals If you are looking for a tail gate mat for your bakkie ISLAND STYLE have started making them ... they are special order at the moment, but they are looking at going into production if i understand it correctly. If you are keen on one - contact Warren Wearing 0 eight three 77 six 4 six 33 Its very cool - full on neoprene covers for the tiedown straps - individual velcro/neoprene bike straps and tons of padding
  25. Yeah I agree dude - a beer stand right there would be amazing. hahahaha I think the builders are trying too hard to be too way out these days instead of designing the course to keep the racing tight! ... SO i agree with you in most parts. Lucky I dont have that problem with my DH course ... try as i may ... it will never be difficult enough! hahaha
