  1. Narra, nope, didn't "race" yesterday. Rode this morning. Aren't you a triathlon booitjie?
  2. Narra, you ride from fourways mall? I ride from fourways gardens, where you park?
  3. sent.<?:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> I also think this is a dangerous line taken by Mnr <?:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />MaonName>as. Widget, not all are as mature in their thinking process as you are and not all have considered the consequences of their actions if they were to "teach that cyclist" a lesson. What a do find unacceptable is that this can be written off under the banner of satire. I doubt as sane folk (a non cyclist that might have been frustrated by cyclists before) they would see your point of view. They would rather have a chuckle and think "those bastards, they are always in my way, this guy hits it on the head. I would be great to teach them a lesson." A seed of hatred has been sown and who knows what that might grow into.
  4. First, clean out the valve coz you've stuffed it up. Unscrew the nozzle and clean it out. When storing your tubbies, always leave them with the valve at such an angle so that if there is any slime in the valve that it will run out. So do NOT leave the valve at the top coz if there is slime in it, you going to have a mess next time you try and pump your wheel and you will be cursing the inventor of tubbies all over again. I cannot see why there would be a limit as to how many cans you might use. If it is fixed, then fine. Next time you puncture, use another can. What is the prob? Personally, I have never found those cans to be effective. Rather pre-fill your tubbies with slime (from Continental). Cost about R70 or so and you can do a hundred tubbies. Then you don't even have to stop to fix a puncture! Price of what? Tubbie? Cannot see why people ride R700 tubbies. They tend to not last and deflate at the site of glass. My personal fav is the Conti Sprinter. Smooth and affordable (and all black, no silly white walls).
  5. WonderWoman, maybe check your pic here.... it is a "lady" in next to nothing tight clothing showing off every curve of that sexy body she has!! Isn't WonderWoman then a bad image to portay?
  6. Thugster, sell me your pod!!
  7. Starting A - 2:50 (Not my fault I haven't trained)
  8. Seems like all we need to do is watch CartBlanche on sunday and we will get all the tips we need!!! Cannot wait.
  9. Prob coz it is now part of North West. This is sad. Wanted to do that silly bump at the end again. If they do have it, it might be a good idea to not only start at 9am. Got back nice and crispy.
  10. On motorbikes.... Did you see the two biker monkeys next to the road at Carousel. Think it was about 15km or so out. Think they were marshals of some sort. What a lag. But I agree, motorbike is the best.
  11. Flippit! Wat gat hier aan!!??!! Nee wat, ou Spinnekop het die bobejaan(e) mooi uit die boom gekyk hier.
  12. Screamin for more! Eish, I actually lost some skin earlier in the year, which meant a serious loss of fitness and motivation. But thanks for showing some compassion.
  13. Hey, Markie. Don't you start with the starting in their own bunches. Your team is actually one of the most guilty parties when it comes to starting with an unseeded number in the A bunch. I also use to have a gripe about this, until I rode Carousel last week, with a number (purchased 10min before race started) in da Supa Testostorone pumped A bunch. I now believe, if you can handle the heat, then join the kitchen. If you not suppose to be there, you will not be there when it matters, so who cares. PS: You will maybe remember me as the guy who you got upset with at last year's Nola. It was you, me and Cyclelab in the break when you decided to get rather verbal about my lack of working. Don't worry, apology accepted AfreekduSoet38944.7271990741
  14. @no.one.knows... lol. For sure, but it would be nice to 'race' without having to risk life or limb. The problem is also that if the guy infront does this, then it could (and 99.999% will) have a direct impact on you. 1. The car might swerve and loose control or swerve and hit me, or 2. if the moegoe does get wiped out, some detached part of himself or his bike might dirty my neatly pressed cycling kit!
  15. Michelle, no stress. The forming of groups is good for A as it actually makes it safer (more people on similar levels at the front) and hopefully better skills and I also think when you are riding for a team and not just yourself, you tend to elevate your game. It would have been nice to also hear from the Cyclelab boys on this forum as they are almost always the culprits attacking to the right.
  16. Michelle: I know. But there is but only one vehicle, so I would think it might be a good idea to use what is at our disposal, the lead vehicle with a marshall in it. Eish, chick....
  17. Now I wish I had a lift to LostCity to go and watch this battle. It seems like we now have TCS, New Horizons, Cyclelab, the odd Club100 monkey and a few other. Its nice to see some teams developing in the A bunch. Think I will start training again. ps: If I have to read another snottie comment from Michelle about how glorious Jason is, I'm gonna be sick.
  18. Dont think it is so much up to the organisers. I like the "name and shame" idea. Will whip out the camera (while shifting down and tryin to cover) and snap a photo or two next time. Most races now do have a lead car for the A's but I have never seen that car come back and tell people to stay left or enforce any rules. Would like to hear from the Orange (NH) boys what they think of it.
  19. So, haven't been here for months. Seems like a lot has changed. Only got back on the bike recently. Nice to see the new people here. Good to see some Orange people here. Damn shame no interclub this year, hey? I have also wondered about this a lot. Having been subjected to this style of riding and attacking, I use to think that it is dangerous and something that needs to be looked at. This happens in every race. Nevermind attacking, I recall at Highwaymen last year the whole flippin A bunch sitting on the right hand side with cars having to go off the road to avoid an accident! Mostly thanks to the Cyclelab boys at the time. It also happened at Carousel. (I was the dude having to shout at people that a car is about to crack their head if they do not move flippin left).
