Raceman is spot on. Crossing white line, drug abuse, same prob... doing it to get the upper hand, illegally!!!. You think coz you have a licence it is okay to put others lifes at risk. I hardly do road races anymore because of idiotic thinking like this. Have had enough experiences with gutter riding and cars having to go off-road or even into oncomming traffic to avoid. I remember one race (highway men, 2005) where an idiot with your same thinking nearly murdered me by attacking off to the right and a car having to swerve straight for me!! I do not see what is wrong with naming those that cheat. Lets 'rehabilitate' or get them off the road.

The idea is not to say that the riders should stop riding on the right out of their own 'sanity' or maturity. They (imho) are total fools and good luck to them if their mental state is so dominated by racing that they are willing to risk their family and individual lifes for it. I then consider it a cleaning of the pool if they get knocked... I would rather say let us put a system in place of shaming, fining and banning these guys/girls from racing. It might not give them an understanding of why we control it, but hopefully less people will do it and therefore a better image of cycling in general will be created. Can you imagine what the drivers who were affected now think of cyclists?? I don't know if you trying to stir or just having a k@k day but hope that you will review your comments. ps: Sorry for your loss.

SwissVan, at GNT Champs I swam into a tree! Well, kinda thru it. Got the skrik of my life when all I felt was this very pointy branch in my ribs. Also, the water was so dark, you got blinded by the light each time you took a breath. Swam with a bunch at the cable ski dam in Midrand a couple of weeks back. Very nice dam to train in. I do about 10-12km a week. Anyone here training in Fourways/Centurion/Menlyn area?
