  1. Hi Fellow hubbers, I was hoping there is a person that knows what he or she's doing when it comes to video editing etc. I went to the tour de France and got some nice video taken from handy cam.. beforehand i was told that one can always pull still photos from that as its full HD and quality would be great! Thing is now i can get a program to break the video up in frames so i can get stills from it. Im using a samsung H400 video camera and it seems that the video is compressed also, so that means when playing video on my PC is is some what smudgy (mind spelling) and even i i pause its not clear. I tried like 5 programs and "nero 7" was the only one playing it right. But thing is i cannot get photos from it, if i do print screen it saves and later if i open it the screen is completely green with lines through it... Its a Full HD video and shoots at 30 frames per second so i would think i could get 30 clear pictures from it per second..right? Any help or suggestions would be highly appreciated !
  2. Yes take it easy... you can always race again hey!
  3. Anyone know where i can get the best deal on Vittoria rubino pro's... ? I would like to buy 12 as in going through them quick (not because their bad) because i would never ride on anything else!
  4. Oh...and please never ever forget stretching "after" a ride..especially quads! Youll feel the difference soon!
  5. Hi fellow hubbers, I finally going to watch the Tour de France live for the first time.... very very exited ! But i need to know more "Details" of the actual stages so i can plan where to position myself so i can see them race by with the speed of light !!! The official website isn't much help as there are not enough details and i was wondering if theres a site where i can view the actual stage in full details like "Detailed profile" (All the bumpes and corners), Starting times (very important) etc. Any help would be much appreciated ! From a very exited Hubber
  6. Will definetely join in this good course...please hubbers in the area lets makes this a huge group to remember ! Especially in Paarl we need to create awareness as it was here that motorists went crazy when we closed the roads for a little while when we "had" the Tour of South Africa. Still not over it!
  7. I agree.... dont rush this and please let us not have "just another ride"... the traffic / people should REALLY SEE US so that they can ask what the hell is going on... if were just a bunch of cyclists we will go UN NOTICED and we will just frustrate the odd motorist. In my opinion we should wait 2 weeks or so, get this really organized, get traffic department, get CSA, get PPA, and the rest... and well be the biggest turnout ever !!! Please hubbers the time is now ! CSA please help this course and let the country know who was killed !!! This should become a advert on supersport / supercycling like the MTN quebeka one... let's make this happen !
  8. We should all choose a date... various towns and cities and ride in a HUGE bunch into town blocking every single car ! Please clubs arrange this so that we can make a statement... this was the last for me, let us stand up now for Burry who has given us all a reason to be proud let's block every car in a certain street and "protest" !!! This is my suggestion and opinion !
  9. I will never ever ever accept this !!!! I shall never forgive those that kill our brothers !!!!I cant even type here and cant accept this.... no no, even if they catch them our country needs to wake up on this a do more more and more !!! Burry my brother i will miss you !!! RIP
  10. Looks really good ! Looks professionally done ...
  11. Hi fellow cyclists... I was wondering if anybody know what happened to this chap ? Last i heard he was release on bail of R 5000... any new news on this ?
  12. Where does one get the name "stickers" for your bike... or is it easy to get them ? You made me want to strip my MTB and Road bike this december... quite exited here ! Well done by the way !!
  13. I agree totally... and if the LBS staff become a little friendlier and make you feel like a customer then ill buy from the LBS too..
  14. Very good point... also saw the other day about 4 guys next to each other on MTB riding in Paarl main road, hardly room for cars ! We should do our part.
  15. Hi, Do you ride road or MTB ? I was hoping to do more MTB than road but don't mind, thinking of riding from 17:30 till about 19:00.
  16. Hi fellow hubbers, I work till 5 pm like most of people, want to know if there is anybody riding after work ? I go to work very early and can only ride after 5PM and on weekends. Was hoping i could get a small group starting...I have road and MTB and don't mind which along as i can get the wheels rolling. Any takers ???
  17. Yes it does... but if the "girls race was live the day before" then surely they must have made an effort to get the "guys" race on supersport also...taking that it will cost nowhere near what they pay for other races like TDF etc. , taking that we had guys representing our nation also (just as the girls)...
  18. Just my input from personal experience... al have always paid VAT (compulsory) regardless if it has import duty or not, plus a fee sometimes, i always add 17% to my online orders to give me an idea if its "worth it" or not. But if it's a huge saving by all means go for it ! Hope you made the right choice.
  19. Thanks for the reply... I will keep this in mind and check with the guy that's going to service my bike if it needs replacement, reason was i was told that it's best to replace all "rotating parts" when replacing chainring, cassette, chain etc. But will check just to make sure. Did about 40 000 km's with them and never had a problem yet...
  20. Don't know if it's the 2nd most watched sport in the world..(if i had my way it will be the only sport to watch), if so why does supersport hardly showcase cycling..? I have to miss out time and time again due to not "showing" or a program like (basketball/tennis/golf/swimming/gymnastics) arent finished yet. Whish we had someone on the inside of supersport!
  21. Ask him if the supplier would accept a cheque.. ?
  22. Hi fellow hubbers, I'm not a bike mechanic but could really do with some expert advice. I have a 9 speed shimano road bike and I'm replacing my drivetrain parts so i was wondering... I couldn't get the 11T jockey wheels (as standard on my Road bike) but found the 10T wheels instead... on the packet it says "for Shimano 7 & 8 speed" and campac 8,9 and 10 speed. After reading comments on the web I'm still not sure if it will be compatible and /or if there will be issues / sounds or extra tear for using the 10T wheels. Hoping someone can explain the pro's & cons before i change it.
  23. Can anybody tell me where we see our results ? I have been looking on racetec but its not there..maybe it takes long, wouldn't know. Thanks
  24. Hi Rookie, welcome to paarl !!! im sure you will enjoy it here.. Can you ride ( road ) in the mornings weekdays ? We can ride like ones or twice in the week and i am also riding on saturday and sunday (longer) aswell. Let me know
  25. Hi, the pace depends...but i enjoy a 30km/h ride ...i am a little unfit but as i get fitter the pace will go up. I have most of the day open and i prefer to ride between 7am and 12am. What time do you ride ?
