  1. Thanks Victor @ Two wheel trading got back to me.
  2. wow that's really more than some bad luck Glad to hear you made it home okay.
  3. Anyone know anything about these wheels. Is it made in South Africa? Tried to google the wheels ,but have not found anything so far. Looking for weight ect on them.
  4. Yes was a tough day for him in the saddle.
  5. Yes I also rode a 59cm Merida scultura Flx and I have an inseam of 92cm. Like Edman I also found the top tube at 59cm to long and had to shorten the stem to a 80mm one. Awesome bike though.
  6. Sad news for him and the team. He should have been in the front though.
  7. That's also my dilemma have the insurance money to buy a new carbon frame now,but do I wait for the 2009 stock at higher prices or buy something decent with a higher spec now.
  8. Had a look at their catalog some beautiful bikes and accessory's.
  9. pffft...show off
  10. This frame available in SA and how many ZA ronts?
  11. Congrats Bobbie such a worthy cause.
  12. Thanks for this thread I was also thinking of buying a nice set of training wheels like Easton EA70's and then buying a second hand set of HED Stingers 60's tubulars to race with. Would cost me about R8000 for both sets whereas I wanted to fork out R7500 for one set of Ksyrium SL premiums. After reading how much it cost to repair a puncture on a tubbie I think I'll rather just stick to one set of good clinchers I mean it's not like I normally start in the front bunch of a race anyways
  13. O_o glad I came across this post. I am busy considering new parts for the bike I'm planning to have built and a set of Mavic Ksyrium SL premiums was high on my list. I think I will rather get the 200g heavier Easton EA70's. After riding with Easton Vista SL for the past two years I have not had one single problem. Sorry for the hijack I hope you get your wheels sorted. wisecrack2008-07-01 02:13:29
  14. Yes the closer the sensor is to the magnet the better the pickup. Just be carefull that the sensor and the magnet does not hit each other :-)
  15. Glad you are okay could have been very different. Like you I also had a similar accident awhile back and things did not turn out so good for me. Does he have insurance?
  16. No man that's sad news! Really hope you are okay. What happened?
  17. lol...I also don't know if you can order them or just go to a hardware shop and buy more sizes. They have a locking bit that keeps them attached to the wrench so I do not think all types will fit. Noticed my seat clamp needs a size that's not included.
  18. I would say so got torque settings ranging from 1 up to 25 and seems well made.
  19. Stories like this that make me feel all warm and fuzzy inside Nice going everyone involved and to Bernard enjoy the bike.
  20. What did you pay for the EA50's?
  21. Strange before joining The Hub I always thought trek made very decent frames. Did not take very long to realize that brands like Trek,Merida and Raleigh is frowned upon here and not considered cool. I am in the market for a new bike and must admit I am very interested in buying a Trek madone 5.5 at Solomons. Looks like a very nice bike. wisecrack2008-06-20 00:20:54
  22. One sweet looking bike Mike. It looks light as a feather what is the weight on it?
  23. Thanks for the support. My heart goes out to Bernard and his family.
  24. Yes luckily I am insured. I guess part of the healing process is getting to scheme what bike to get next. I am however very thankful that I only broke or fractured 10 ribs and had a punctured lung amongst other not so traumatic injuries. Don't know if I could have coped with being paralyzed or having head injuries :-(
  25. Yes thanks samma. Wayne Pheiffer cycles here in PE is the local BMC dealer and "Pedal Care" will deposit the money directly into his account so I will give him a shout. wisecrack2008-06-16 01:06:47
