    Did a solid 82km, 1890m ascend ride, joining all the Durbanville Hills Trails

    My Boy Evan, ripping it around Meerendal lower section, had two massive wipe outs, as he was getting a bit over confident with fast down sections,...but I encouraged him to fall more, cos its cool

    Cape Town Dished out the GOODS again this past weekend! And I'm loving a little loop or two with my boy at Meerendal

    Saturday Tygerberg Trails, nice little 68km cruze on a stunning Cape Town winters day And then had a ""SUPER PROUD DAD"" moment, after my boy on only his second ride without training wheels, showed some serious natural skill in the single-track and the lower section of Meerendal

    So after one month of riding with training wheels, they're off! Snapped it from the word go, thanks to a JD Bug balance bike he had for over a year. #prouddad#nowthefunstarts!

    First test ride with XT 1x11 and Absolute Black Oval ring

    Shifting is as crisp and smooth as anything, feels exactly the same with the clutch on and off.

    And there she is.. 10.5kg with 2x10 SLX/XT setup 10.2kg with 1x11 XT/SLX/Absolute Blk OVAL setup

    I was running 2X10, so had to go with a new chainring. With only XT 11-40 available, I opted to go with Oval 32T, as it should assist climbs, and drive flats a little better. Keen to try it asap, but not with the Cold Front of the year passing by!! Edit: I sold my ex parts for R1750, calculated in cost
