  1. They should try and set them up, easy to block that road from both sides, thats if they do this at certain times only, otherwise it might be a looong day of cycling up and down waiting to get klapped by some snotkop with a tazer or a pipe
  2. And an appropriate helmet for he's early aggression shown on the bike already!
  3. +1 I don't wish my boy older, but man it would be so lekke to hit some trails with him!
  4. R899, same as on Kalahari, without the wait!
  5. Can't wait to give it to him, turns 2 in January, currently have one of those 3wheel plastic scooters, which with the skill he already possess, are on two wheels 90% of the time haha! He's gonna have a jol on this thing I think! (Upgrades starting at an early age, phew:-/
  6. Sorted!! Took the last one at Game Cape Gate centre, after a lengthy search. No choice on colour tho, but Lime Green is the new black man!
  7. Thx Ratty, just gave them a shout now, but they dont have any in stock, ...a bit pricey as well!!
  8. I saw that, just scared they wont deliver in time for Christmas, that wont be good! but thx!
  9. I read up a bit, and it seems the JD works wonders for their balance and sets them up nicely for the next level
  10. Good morning I want to get my 2year old boy one of these for Christmas, but dont feel like the shlep to shop around. Can someone recommend the best, most cost effective place to buy a JD Bug with a bit of bling in the Cape Town area?
  11. As long as it don't spoil your ride! (Referring to the "depth" or lack thereof, of some topics ;-)
  12. Fair enough! We should start a "watchmen on the wall" group, taking turns to stay up all night alerting the group on good deals via "moerse buzzer alarm system satellite signal broadcasting mechanism thing" under our pillows,...just an idea after my first triple espresso.
  13. Haha! Yeah, and widely acceptable in the African culture "ass" sexy..
  14. Off the topic, posts at 1, 3, 4 and 5am..., don't you guys sleep! Haha
  15. You're spot on!....keep an eye on the classifieds, I have a few Garmins coming up....
  16. They fall, Garmin/Bryton/Cateye etc etc etc gets bumped, rider forget to make sure its clipped in properly, and loose it at the next rough section...? or does this seem completely impossible?
  17. If you don't like wearing a watch, its pretty straight forward. I got the Polar, coz I don't like fiddeling with this and fiddeling with that, a minimalist by category, I use it for everything, and don't stand a chance of loosing the unit off my bike etc
  18. This calls for a new bike..in my opinion. When presented with an oportunity, capitalize, with immediate effect. Dialogue as follows: You:"Honey, I think I'll have to buy a new bike" Honey:"Why my love?" You:"My wheel is skew, and that's dangerous"(followed by youtube Mountainbike crashes,..becoz of skew wheels) Honey:"Rather get a new bike my love, I would'nt want to see you get hurt like that." Done.
  19. I'd go Vipa, "THE" MORWOOD involved, heard a lot of guys complaining about Scotts suspension and rear triangle durability and to top that off it looks like Scotts aftersales service has taken a bit of a dive as well..not coming back to some with regards to valid warranty complaints.
  20. True. I say this all the time, aftersales service should almost be the first box to tick and Silverback is right up there with the best in the business ito quick turn around time on warranty claims
  21. Tit for tat here, Merida does have a slight better appeal, but ito spec I'd go Silverback. My reason, the wheels, probably the most influencial componant on the bike, it can make it feel dead and heavy, or alive and nippy, in this case the latter would be the ZTR on the Silverback. Deore brakes are fine.
