  1. If you keen to ride with three of us this coming saturday from over Hillcrest, Contermans, Hoogekraal to Meerendal, let me know, we'll meet at Majic carpark 7am. If you are not members bring cash with coz each farm is R30 to ride. PM me if interested
  2. Yip that's the one, they had a special going for R199, I got the silver/black one, I see now goes for R230, which is still a very good price for that kinda quality, silver/black looks sweet and will be neutral for any bike colour
  3. I think you should look at the Deca, I've just come off a KMC10XL, that only gave me 980kms...not good, its lightweight right, ony by 35grms, but expensive compared to the Deca
  4. CWC selling Deca 10spd chains "colour coded" nogal for R199, I read up on the specific model and some real life severe testing gave 4000kms, manufacturer claim 5000kms! Check them out! I have one on now
  5. Drop that 4kgs off your back and you'll feel much better ;-)
  6. I realized I had sports induced asthma when I got an asthma attack on a squash court in Standard 8, fortunately our house doctor coached us and he had an inhaler with him. I will not recommend you riding without an inhaler or atleast inhale 3 puffs before you start riding, you don't have great lungs already as you mentioned and trust me, you DO NOT want to get an asthma attack, its not fun and death is very possible without immediate treatment. You can buy asthavent over the counter without prescription, I use that and it works for me, I take three puffs inhaled deep INTO the lungs and kept each inhale for atleast 7secs. Prevention is better than cure, I've found it more difficult to sort my chest out if I haven't used the inhaler before I ride. In my case, I'm 72kg and very fit, so that don't have too much to do with it. Just get an inhaler and keep it on you as well. Cheers

  8. Must be the "SWorks syndrome...
  9. I had exactly the same problem and fixed it about two weeks ago when I read up on the "duck footed or pigeon toed" style of walking. I realised I walk slightly duck footed and the cleat position was too straight mounted on my shoe, I turned the front end of the cleat a bit inward so that the shoe point a bit outward when pedalling, or heel slightly inward which ever way you want to look at it, and whala! No knee pain at all! After 3 years riding with this niggle, and I always thought it was an old knee injury or something.
  10. Are you on a road bike...?
  11. Will be a good run before the Attakwas, little indurance ride
  12. Kliprug is a no go, you'll get shot at by the farmer
  13. Flip, I told myself I won't go this route, but the weather in CT is crap today, I'm bored, and all this 1x10 waffle just got me a bit interested,...so off I went and bought the bloody chainring. I know I know, its only a 30T, but I'm just checking it out and besides I have a 11-34 cassette here in the Tygerberg Trails...so let's see how it goes.
  14. This is my favourite of all the Tygerberg trails, I've been a member for 4years now, did Hoogekraal Full loop 5 times the other day, was 61,9km, 2000m ascend and took me 4h20mins at a steady pace

  24. I use these, infact I bought an extra set from Easybike because I've found them to be phenominal front and back, and yes I got the super light 485grm non snakeskin version, sealed up with Stans first time every time no issues, ride dry and rocky Tygerberg trails aggressively and they hold up great! Guess you just having some bad lack, and I agree with the one comment, check your rim strip
