  2. Brad I have exactly the same problem. This became really bad after I completed 94.7 this year. I have been off the bike for 3 weeks and got back on the bike this week. ( o yes I also ride Scultura 906) however I did not get back on the Scultura , but instead on my Merida Matts 80 MTB ....................the problem is still there and within the first 10km's . I know if you check the site you will find a long string with people that have had the same problem ,but it seams "bike set "up seems to be the common reply .................I think a visit teh chyro practisioner is my next option please PM me should you find something else ? good luck!!!!

  8. My LBS serviceman in Rustenburg recons you should not suspend the Carbon bikes that way as the design of the carbon frame does not cater for horisontal torsion at 120km/h behind a car ,aparently there has been cases of the cyclest ariving at the destiantion with only a Carbon Pipe remaining on the "Hang Rack".........................
  9. When your Boss works out after you ask for "Family responsibility leave" for the 30th time, that you have all-in-all lost 7 mothers 5 fathers 6 grand dads 8 grand mothers 10 aunts and 19 brothers.eish!
  10. ChristiaanI agree with The Saints' comments , the difference between most entry levels are minute ," Not sure how much you want to spend but probably at the moment some of the best value for money bikes you can get in entry level are Merida and Scott"
  11. right on click click! tx seems a bit more climbing on the traini9ng menu next year hay !
  12. how much they go for anyway?
  13. If 94.7 was 1189m , does any-one know how much the Argus would be ? more or less? My preperation for 94.7 was hopelesly not enough ,I dont want to make the same mistake and travel 1300 km to Cape Town just to hit the wall after 50km's!

I was about to have three peanut butter sarmies , 4 bananas ,1 gallon 32Gi and a Packet GU and then gooi myself down a Mine Shaft because of yesterdays failure ,............. also looked at 03h15 and got in at 04h17 my race was doomed when I crossed the 30km mark ,(no response from the legs ,when asked to go faster!) ,then at 80 km cramped so bad I was screaming like a girly! up to the finishline. check my volgende jaar!

  19. Bman I bought a Giant TCR 2001(Yellow) with carbon fork and Shimano 600 components ,for R1000 and use it on my trainer currently .still works perfectly on the road also .Read my thread on Alu vs. Carbon upgrade.Good Luck
  20. Let's here your comments on this ...............? I started road racing this year and have completed 6 X 90 km + races I did the first two races with a Giant TCR team bike (10 years old ) with a carbon fork and Shimano 600 components. Then my backside itched and I convinced myself I needed to have a Carbon Bike becuse "it makes you go faster and the ride is better" ...........Ye right! I have done Carousel Classic ;Dome2Dome; Harties Sasko; Jakaranda Classic: all above 90 km and my times have been consistent around the 3h15 mark . Agreed races differ in difficulty but I have not seen R20 000 difference from the Giant Tcr Alu to the Merida 906 Ultegra . Future "upgraders", think twice on going Carbon if your Alu will cost you 1/2 the price, also believe me the ride is not different and still K@K to get over the last 20km's. O and yes I can afford the R20 000 upgrade , but if I had to do it again ALu all the way ,with some spare money to spend on pimping the ride and some more to spare on taking the Misses out for a shopping spree! SPEAK TO ME !
