  1. Congrats Roddie! That's the 4th time that Spurs have beaten ManU this season. Someone said that the wins against ManU account for 16% of Tottenham's wins this season.
  2. Tottenham and ManU fans have already started with the unlicensed boxing undercard in the streets of Bilbao.
  3. Livarpool without the PGMOL? Surely Spurs have a great chance tonight. After all, after the Valencia president said this... Amorim has only gone and done this...
  4. Pretty much consensus among neutral fans. If the former head of the refs is prepared to write about it, there is a problem with this widely discredited Liverpool trophy.
  5. Former PGMOL head Keith Hackett wrote a Telegraph piece about the 7 occasions that Van Dijk should have been sent off in the league this season. Yeah, when even a ref boss draws attention to the illegitimacy of a trophy because of preferential treatment... A whole PGMOL head?
  6. The matter involving Shaun-Nick Bester level 4 (edit: UCI level 3 certified coach, UCI have 3 coaching level qualifications- info from John Wakeman earlier in another thread) was concluded last year, individuals can be sanctioned. Many here will recall that, after an extensive process involving investigations (including an independent consultancy investigation) and a disciplinary hearing and an appeal, Shaun-Nick Bester was found guilty of sexual grooming involving porn, harrassment and abuse. Some victims chose not to go through the process until the end. 14 and 17 year old teen girls and their families commendably persisted, resulting in a 15 year sanction which was later extended globally to the UCI and affiliated national federations. https://www.cyclingsa.com/cycling-south-africa-shaun-nick-bester/ https://www.cyclingsa.com/uci-extends-shaun-nick-besters-ban-globally/ PS. I'll name names as parents/guardians and teens should be in a position to make informed decisions.
  7. I haven't seen it. The guy actively negotiated with his club for well over a year to leave. He avoided publicity, he minimised social media posts, he avoided interviews so as not to antagonise Liverpool fans, even inadvertently. Unlike Salah, who used sm and interviews to pressurise the club. And yet we heard a substantial part of Anfield booing the Liverpool born academy graduate's touches, the guy who helped them win two league titles and a champions league trophy. No wonder club legends like Stevie Nicol are seething at those fans, classless was one of his milder words.
  8. Great thanks to Sgt Bongi Mgwetyana.
  9. FWIW, Arsenal xG last night was 3.14. 19 shots (only 4 on target), PSG 11 (6). Corners 6, PSG 2. Donnarumma definitely kept them winning. There were two more top notch saves by him besides saving that remarkable Ødegaard bullet. Big fail imo, Arteta had no Plan B.
  10. I've not seen a reflex save sharper than Donnarumma diving to his low left for that early Ødegaard bullet between defenders. I'm even more impressed by Donnarumma every time I see him in action.
  11. One of their OWN, a Liverpudlian who helped to bring success and trophies to the club. That's the guy they so rabidly turn against? Liverpool fans themselves prove that YNWA is a worthless slogan, with zero substance.
  12. The Trent Alexander-Arnold contract/free agent saga has been revealing. Not least the amount of vitriol and the bitter, often racist, anger directed at him. Remember when Liverpool fans united to lend full voice and support to an Uruguayan racist who had a weird fondness for biting opponents? Can someone explain why Liverpool fans draw the line of support at a lad born in Liverpool who has served the club for 10 years, winning 2 league titles and a Champions League? YNWA!? Yeah, right. Moronic levels of idiocy and...
  13. Mostdef will state POA on the menu. From Australia's Bastion Cycles. Droolworthy. https://www.bikeradar.com/news/bastion-archetype
  14. Presies! The vrotsnoek has provided zero motivation to shift my original opinion.
  15. Taun. It's not complicated, ye old Mensa no-hoper: Put the sh1tshovel down and shape up, old chap. You wouldn't want everyone thinking that your "integrity" plunged faster than Floyd Shivambu's head into a bucket of KFC.
  16. Enjoyed Big Ange's post match chat. He needs to work more and also smarter to compete in the top half of the league. He'd do well to spend less time reading and responding to his press and others' opinions on social media.
  17. Tottenham are cooking against Bodø/Glimt and the fans are up for it too. Naaisss.
  18. What a match. Inter Milan two up within 20 minutes in Barcelona. Then that kid Lamine Yamal drives a ball from nowhere diagonally past defenders into the centre of the box and coolly blasts it into the left side netting. And that was just the first quarter. Skills and entertainment +++. Next week's second legs are tasty prospects.
  19. I doubt that anyone else but Arne Slot thought it possible. It's reported that, after the first training session, he told the squad that they can win the league THIS SEASON. It's an extraordinary achievement, and Slot's just getting started. Scary stuff.
  20. Miguel Delaney has pointed out that in the 64 years of the Champions League, there have been six occasions that a team winning an away first leg went on to lose and be eliminated. PSG have done that three times since 2019. This is a different PSG, though. Just a couple of weeks ago they resisted an Aston Villa scoring-first comeback. I see a lot of criticism for the freekicks and yellow cards awarded against Arsenal for PSG dives. The very early Saka yellow card was crazy, Saka didn't touch the dude. Alan Shearer was even harsher about the early Trossard yellow card. Later, Donnarumma's collapse was diabolical. When Rice curled his corner kick in, there was no Arsenal player next to Donnarumma when he went down as if he'd been shot in the head. Instant freekick, but the ref couldn't possibly have seen any offence. Must be unsettling for any team. Still, PSG bossed it.
  21. You called it. Arsenal outplayed across the pitch, they looked stunted, nervous even.
  22. Congrats Gnarly! An amazing achievement by Slot and the squad and the club.
  23. Extraordinary. Haven't followed the Wrexham story at all but three successive promotions must surely be a unique achievement.
  24. That chief biter and racist has been called out by one of his targets. Speaking of targets, anyone see the pic where Suarez bit someone's finger during a match a week ago? The douchecanoe only stopped when he realised he was biting his own teammate's finger. Ahead of his first official fight with the Professional Fight League, Patrice Evra was asked who he'd want as his first opponent. "Luis Suarez. I'll pay out of my own pocket. He can even bite me." Hah! 😂😂
