  1. Averages for the 184 2021 starters: Age: 29.63 years Weight: 69.3 kg Height: 181 cm Source: ProCyclingStats
  2. I've ordered multiple items from this retailer on three occasions in the last 18 months. It's molto important to check the size guide and user reviews for every item as sizes can vary greatly between manufacturers. Some items I ordered were XL and some were XXXL, but all fitted excellently 'cos I followed the guide. Some baggy shorts and shirts have seen heavy rotation in a 6 to 7 day cycling week for almost 18 months and are as good as well-known brands that I bought locally.
  3. 'course you're right. I mostly service-repair my old Italian and German cars myself, yet there are some jobs for which I simply don't have the right tools. But but but bruh, 13 different tools just for the variety of BB's?
  4. WTF! While searching for BB tools today I found that Abbey Tools offers tools for 13, YES THIRTEEN, different types of BB's. Say it ain't so. For one tool? So much for "standards", manufacturers are taking the p i s s.
  5. I'm mostly a colloquial boer bruh. My original comment was reading between the lines what wasn't even there and I will not use that tasty half-a-quart of whisky as an excuse either. Respect for being unaffected by my doowaas moment. Thanks for being a mensch, and congrats on your styling A45.
  6. Me trusty ol' 'dale trail 2 is still up to LOADS of fun adventures. The Sacramento shipwreck coast today, on a day itching to wreck ships. And yes, bar ends are de rigeur for wrenching her and a 6'3" 99kg old geezer up those high-gradient, sandy coastal paths.
  7. Thanks mate, that would be a great solution if the winged latin howler could take the 29 front wheel like that GT3 can. Just tried it. Guess I'll be hauling bike with the shiny ol' 80's E30 while visiting the kids next week and on biking adventures.
  8. You're right. I was being a sarky git, I should know better as I can't even get any kinda rack on one of my cars. Apology, Lance.
  9. * "Advice", as my 9 year old niece would advise. A "Lefty Fork" eh? With capitals eh? And "it's not the easiest thing to remove the front wheel, and it also puts wear and tear on the brake mounting bolts if you're constantly undoing them". Say what? Ah, so sad that your ML 500 completely destroyed the plastic wheel holders on your bike rack. It took a whole ML 500 to do that eh? Oh supremely pretentious one, thanks for the laughs.
  10. Harrison Ford still has great form when it comes to his choice of cycles. Can't vouch for his sock choices however ...
  11. Naaaisss!! And yes, I'm that git.
  12. They recycle pods? One hopes so as pod recycling is currently at ridiculously low single-digit-percentage levels. Excuse me, the old git will see himself out.
  13. Luuuurve it! A thing of exceptional beauty. I spent four and a half hours of joy down and through the valley and along the coast on my beloved Cannondale HT today and I'd be inclined to spend a load more time on that beauty. Fully deserves a couch photo. Congrats!
  14. Have to agree, T20's a bit of a proverbial crapshoot. I love the intensity of closely fought test cricket and how a well-thought change of tactics and the response can turn a match. Really enjoy travelling to Newlands and Wanderers and MCG and Lords and The Oval, and I've usually been brilliantly rewarded even when doing so spontaneously. Newlands is especially glorious.
  15. … said the ex-wife four kids later. No worries, I won't be posting any toolbag pics. Mainly 'cos Michael's stylish Italian toolbag is far prettier.
  16. ???????? Nice quip. English summer days can get long and hot. I remember a heatwave in the summer of 2003 with seven successive days with temps in the high 30ºCs in London. That trip was primarily to watch the Proteas klap England at Lords and to get laid but I also did several voluntary shifts with London Accident and Emergency Service. 461 people died of heatstroke in London in those seven days. Just an "aside".
  17. Love black labbies, I've not met one that wasn't sharp and rapidly trainable. One, called Matti, most certainly saved my life when three armed thugs rushed at me from behind a tree near my gate as I walked to manually close it after arriving home late at night.
  18. Aaaah! The image of that taxi and the event sickens me. As a long-time critical care paramedic before starting related businesses I well know how it is dealing with that scene.
  19. Hear here! Truly so, EG. I've bought kit from a couple of LBSs and this kit from an Asian retailer is similar quality. It's done hard rotation in a 6 to 7 day cycling week for more than a year with zero sign of decay:
  20. Most interesting. I haven't really considered that beautiful piece of road a pass but the description fits. Thank you.
  21. Mostdef, an abiding memory while visiting the now out-laws in Oudtshoorn two decades ago was my Alpina taking me up the pass to camp solo on a clear and still full moon night in the snow. Thomas Baine's final and most spectacular pass, and a brilliant mini adventure. That's it, I'm already planning the road trip to (edit:) cycle the Swartberg Pass on the way to visiting the kids in CT. Thanks.
  22. Simply stunningly beautiful! And I might be qualified to comment regarding aesthetics as I've grown accustomed to being accused of being with "the most gorgeous women on the planet". What a beeyoootiful feat of design and engineering! I'd trade a kidney-and-a-half for your Mobu.
  23. It's been a fascinating Giro. Perhaps the most intriguingly strategic and exciting GT since I started watching the entirety of every GT from 2014.
  24. Righteous! Two mates and I did that to a scammer who turned out to be a Dept of Justice official. He didn't have the cash and, being a new-to-the-city renter, ended up "offering" a laptop and ALL the clothing and shoes he wasn't presently wearing. Laptop went to a retrenched guy starting a small business and great clothes were donated to charity. Cue Borat voice: "Great success!" PS. Not sure how the scammer negotiated work the next morning after being left with just the short shorts and t-shirt he was wearing.
