  1. Started watching Alaska Offroad Warriors last night.....
  2. Easier said than done.......................................
  3. Just a small request from us firewall challenged individuals that frequent this thread, if you post a YouTube or any internet link to a picture or even just a picture for that matter, any chance of typing a movie title as well? Sometimes all I get is a YouTube link or a coded garbled picture title (because my IT administrator thought it was a good idea to screen what I see....) followed by a discussion of how good it was with no idea of what is being discussed.......... Thanks in advance
  4. Breaking Bad done. I guess that there is no season 6 on the horizon then
  5. For every person that cancels, another new contract is signed. Sadly I don't think they will feel "the pinch"... We have been without DSTV for 3 years now and it is the best thing we ever did. I would however phone them and ask them to cancel the service.
  6. Back onto the Bad S05 last night.... Looks like it could get interesting...
  7. Not so much.... There is a small part of the market (and apparently it is growing...) that would love a choice of proper 650 DS adventure bikes that you could ride into Africa and also do the technical goat paths closer to home with. I know a few mates that are hanging onto their KTM 640's for that reason.
  8. Did you get the one with all the electronic wizardry?
  9. I have always liked Buells ever since my dad's mate took delivery of one of the first Buells into the country in the 80's. It was yellow. Nothing nicer than watching a brand new bike being uncrated for it's first unveiling to it's new owner. I did read on Wilddogs though that Buell were no longer... There was a picture of a skip full of Buells that was destined for the crusher. Can't confirm the story but it could impact on spares going forward.
  10. Ooh Masters of Sex.... We had to send the kids to Granny's to watch 50 Shades the other night. I haven't read the book and kind of wondered what all the fuss was about TBH...
  11. Sometimes it's a compromise in my house. Two adults with varying tastes that SOMETIMES over lap. I find The Mentalist easy watching. A bit like Unforgettable.... (both of which my wife enjoys along with any of the CSI's. Another trick is trying to get the series in that you really want to watch (Game of Thrones, True Detective etc) without exposing young minds to stuff that could scar them for life...
  12. I needed a break. After 4 straight seasons of Breaking Bad, I wanted to punch Walter White in the face... I'll give the Mentalist a season for me to recover and then watch S05. I also dipped my toe into True Detective..... That looks interesting! Muskateers is also waiting in the wings along with Game of Thrones... What to do oh what to do.....
  13. Finished Breaking Bad S04 and decided to try something else for a week or two. Started The Mentalist S01.... Think that might have been a mistake.... Still queued are Breaking Bad S05, Chicago Fire S03, Chicago PD S02, Person of Interest S04 and Blacklist S02.
  14. Awesome little commuter that is! Two things let it down though IMO. The exhaust (just change it) and the suspension. Suspension is fine if you stick to tar. Once you go off road things change... Did a 500km+ adventure ride on one that consisted of mostly Gravel roads with a lot of "short cut" cattle paths and goat tracks thrown in for the smile factor and it was found lacking (again IMO). On corrugations the damping is almost non existent and I almost found my eyeballs in my goggles a few times. Standing helped a bit. I did end up with a pip ache at the end of day one and I attribute that to the short comings in the suspension causing my lid to shake a bit while seated Technical stuff is a first gear affair for the most part but the happy button was a welcome relief when things got horizontal. For the price though you can't go wrong I believe that the CRF250R suspension is a welcome upgrade. (Apparently a few CRF rolling chassis around with engines that tried to eat themselves that are being parted out for spares...)
  15. That is nice!!
  16. Go look at the link Andymann posted
  17. A CR250 2smoke put me in hospital..... I still suffer some 17 years later.....
  18. Thanks for that. Friday afternoon taken care of
  19. Aaah you mean mature adults
  20. A man after my own heart.... Safer to read and just keep quiet! Different type of forum than thehub....
  21. Congrats! You must be stoked! Let the Farkling begin Go sign up at Wilddogs now if you haven't already done so.....
  22. Another reason...Three words: BMW Roadside Assist.
  23. On the KTM's (690 specifically) you start the bike after your changes (Filter, exhaust, etc) and without revving it, you let it idle for 15 minutes. That gives the ECU time to analyze and reset. After that it's all good. Might work for the Honda as well.
  24. I had a Howard Pipe on my IT200. Hmmmm a Supertrap for the XR..... THAT would be cool...
  25. We always lusted after a Pro-Circuit pipe.... Back in the 80's unfortunately it was not to be... Hop ups on a budget dictated that an empty deodorant or Doom can produced similar results in terms of sound at a fraction of the cost. A guy I knew almost attained legendary status as a result of his creations.
