  1. What Android STB are you using?
  2. Just placed an order for an MXQ Pro TV Box with Android 5.1 Here's hoping that from the reviews that I read, it does what I want it to do.... Woke up late to the fact that a family member is coming out to SA from UK in the next few days and needed to get this to her ASAP. It has Kodi pre-installed as well as Google Playstore so will add Netflix App if it doesn't already have and the specs seem fine for the hardware that I currently have as well as room for improvement. Just need to juice up the internet bundle now....
  3. You can subscribe to DSTV Mobile on it's own AFAIK
  4. Who is using an Android TV Box? What brand, where did you get it and how much? Lots available online but locally seems to be limited choices... I have a WD TV Live but I think it is looking to check out soon... Looking at options. Looking at Android box because of the Kodi App as well as all the other apps available from the Playstore. All to be connected to a Samsung Smart TV.
  5. All this talk of downloading and streaming, is anybody using a VPN to "hide" what you are doing and what/how are you doing it? Lets assume that you download a lot of movies and series using torrents. How do you mask the usage from your ISP? I am assuming that a VPN will do the trick...
  6. My Krupps Grinder seems like it is about to give up on life... I don't have the budget for high tech electric grinder so I was thinking about a hand grinder for now. Will be great for holidays as well as load shedding to go along with my Aeropress. (Haven't switched on the Delonghi for months now...) Two come to mind based on what I have read here. Hario and Porlex. Question is which one...? Another option is that I have a relative that is coming over from UK next month and I was looking on Amazon.co.uk and the pricing seems good. There are also a lot of options available. Looking specifically at the Porlex clones with ceramic burs for around the 10-15 pound mark. Now the question is... will a 10 pound grinder that looks like a porlex do the same job?
  7. Read somewhere that the Apple watch only works with the iPhones....?
  8. Thanks for the feedback so far. Will keep an eye out in the classifieds.
  9. Apologies if this has been covered already: My wife and I recently signed up for the Discovery active rewards thing. I am using my step counter on the Samsung Shealth App as well as my Edge 305 in conjunction with a Garmin Connect account and gym swipes to get my points. She on the other hand has started doing Voluntary Opfok Sessions We Train Classes in the mornings before work as well as the step count on her Shealth App. The problem is that while she is bleeding through her eyes at her morning classes, none of this valuable data is being recorded as she has no fitness device on her. We thought about a heart rate strap and an app on the phone but carrying the phone is the issue. Is there a reasonably priced watch/band that she can use that doesn't need a chest strap and doesn't need to be within spitting distance of the phone to record data? Any other alternatives that don't involve carrying the phone on her? (Lots of running, boxing, yoga type things and a lot of sit and stand type activities which could potentially damage a phone)
  10. I think I need to update the replacement costs of our fleet ASAP!! Could be found wanting......
  11. All sorted. Found an older version of Kodi (14.2) and installed that. Added Sportsdevil and I am as happy as a pig in the proverbial.
  12. Kodi and Sports devil. Apparently.....
  13. Imagine trying to fix any modern ECU mapped bike on the trails.....
  14. Samsung N8000.... Something about the version of Android that it is running being too old. I looked for an update but it said it was up to date. App not available in teh Play store either.
  15. Now if I could just figure out a way to install it on my tablet I would be a VERY happy camper.......
  16. He posts while he's socialising.... I wouldn't take what he says seriously after 10pm.... You can be guaranteed that there has already been a conversation with Mr Jameson or Mr Bains. True story.
  17. Watched "Rush" on Saturday night. Wife is in JHB so it's boy's movies for a few days... Started with Starwars Episode IV last night... Going to watch in the order they were originally released. Tonight is Episode V...
  18. CRIKEY...
  19. Yoh...!!! I tried a high alcohol content IPA from Robson's called Hammer of Thor. That was 8,3% and it took a while to go down. Interested to hear what that tasted like...
  20. Lets get that first bottle down the hatch first and see if this beer brewing thing pans out... It could end in euphoria or a trip to casualty to have my stomach pumped....
  21. First batch of home brew has been sitting in the bucket since the 6th December. Started out with a Lager kit from Black Rock. SG is dropping nicely as well. Started at 1038 and been testing it every now and again. Yesterday's reading was 1010. Waiting for the SG to stabilize though before I bottle. Don't want any bottle bombs sitting in the cupboard!!! . Temp has varied between 24 and 28deg. Airlock seems to do it's own thing... bubbles for a day and then stops for a day or two then starts up again... Hoping to be bottling on the public holiday (16th) Also thinking about letting it sit for another week or two and give it time to settle a bit... still very cloudy at the moment. Might let it settle in the bottles after priming though... I'm not known for my patience!
  22. That bike has been responsible for a lot of drool being shed within my circle of friends... With the current R/$/Zuma situation I can see a lot of tears being shed as well unfortunately... Initial speculation was around the R135k mark. Then it escalated to R150k-R175k... with the latest parliamentary shenanigans who knows where it will end up....
  23. My IT200 memories came flooding back after looking at that blue and yellow colour scheme... Did my first bush ride on that IT. Couldn't stop smiling for at least two weeks after that ride. Jeans, army boots, road tyres.... and some rain for good measure
