26"... A lot of sites on the internet say I should take a medium, but is there anyone who actually knows?

Hey all I'm considering buying a mountain bike, however I'm a little bit worried about the size. I'm 1.81m tall and I ride a 54cm road frame... From what I can understand having read up on the subject on the internet, for a 54cm road frame you should have an 18" MTB frame? Is this correct? I just don't want to buy a frame that is too small or too big as I can't then afford to get another frame. Thanks guys and girls

I ride both and I do have to agree... When I'm on my road bike and I greet a fellow roadie, I almost always get some form of response. However, when I'm on my mountain bike riding along the road to get to Tokai and I greet a roadie, more often than not I get ignored... Strange to think that it's simply because of the different bikes?

It's cheap because of its weight... The top forks weigh between 1.2 - 1.4 kgs

Thanks guys, now I just have to get hold of some new shifters... Anyone selling either XT or XTR shifters?

There seem to be mixed opinions... Is there anyone who has tried this or a similar combination, or knows for certain that the x9 shifters will not work with the xt RD?

Hi guys and girls I'm pretty sure that Sram X9 shifters will work with xt Front and Rear Deraliurs, but could I just get some advice on this? Obviously both have to be 9 speed in order to work...
