Andre, next week sunday I would be keen for a ride with you guys... I normally ride between 75 and 100km and average roughly 30km/h on my own, so I'm sure if we all went together we could get an even better average. Where do you normally ride? Edit*** I'm in the Rosebank area, so I could easily meet up with you. I normally ride out by the craddle as there is a nice cycling lane and minimal traffic

Hey all Anyone ride around these areas in Joburg during the week at around 5 or so? I would be keen to get a 2 hour ride in before work over the next 2 weeks... Anyone know anyone that rides close to these areas?

Firstly, welcome to the hub! Now just a quick question, how old are you? If you are still young my advice would be to go for a hardtail. For the same price (R12 000), you will get a hardtail with better components that will weigh considerably less than a dual suspension, and most likely last longer as there is no rear shock. Furthermore, have you considered buying a second hand bike off the hub? Sometimes you can get a really fantastic deal at a fraction of the price. Both my bikes were bought second hand, and as a result I got a much better deal with fantastic components for a fraction of the price. For example, my hardtail MTB I bought second hand here off the hub set me back R6500 and weighs only 10.8kg! It is still in fantastic condition, and I have had absolutely no problems with it so far! Hey all I'm currently looking at purchasing an SRAM Force groupset and I was just wondering where the cheapest place to buy the groupset would be? I don't want to bring it in from overseas as I need it in the next few days, so I want to support the South African market... Any ideas?

While out riding yesterday, my rear bottle cage almost came completely off my bike. This is not the first time either... I had carbon bottle cages (Came with the bike), but during one race near the end of last year, the rear one sheared off and shattered into pieces. I'm tired of having to continuously check if the screws are tight when I leave the house... Anyone had a similar problem? Any solutions?

I'm looking forward to my first TB too this year! My friend rode it last year and he says it's not technical at all, so just keep putting in the distance, both on you road and mountain bike

I clicked settings, then anti-banner, then settings under 'use the list of allowed URLs', and added www.thehubsa.co.za. It now seems to work perfectly

It's just a blank page that loads. It opens the page like normal, but no images appear on the page. However, as I said above, if I click on it from the home page it works perfectly. I'm using Firefox 4.0, and I also tried it in IE 7.0...

Am I the only person who can't view the ads? When I click on the ads from the front page, they load perfectly. However, when I view all ads and then select a category, the category loads fine, but when I click an ad, it just doesn't load Am I doing something wrong? Ha ha Nik, I just hope for any time faster than 3:30! But I won't complain if it's closer to 3 hours!!! PeterM I agree, suikerbossie makes such a huge difference to your time... If you can fly up there, you should easily get under 3:30! I will be wearing UCT kit on the day, and yourself?
