I have an entry level ice cream machine which I use every weekend to make a bout a litre ice cream. Mostly choc or coffee but have started playing around with adding orange or peppermint liqueur. I'm quite sure it can make sorbet, don't have the little book anymore so can't check for you ... Worthwhile gadget though !

Slightly different and quick variation: 2 eggs, 500gr self raising flour, Bit of oil, sugar and salt, 1 tin sweet corn Mix it all Sprinkle paprika and grated cheese in microwave bowl, add mixture. 60% power for 7min and 100% power for 3 min. Serve hot with butter and a good marmalade etc

Is it possible to ride a route that follows the different numbers at some of the turnoffs? Tried it twice with limited success :-(

My Bryton 35 works well except for the buddy feature that I can't get working (and no replies from the distributors or on the Facebook page) and the HRM that showed me cruising with a 250+ heart rate yesterday (new battery etc) ... Also buy your own rare earth magnets if you want the cadence monitor to work as the flimsy magnet they supply doesn't do the job well. Battery life is excellent though! Next time I will try Garmin ...

No bottle necks in the 70, maybe because ending in the bottom 10% means every body is already finished by the time I get to the obstacle !!!

At info on the route? Likely similar terrain as trailseeker Cornwill or will it be tougher? I've only ever done 40s so am looking for a relatively easy race to go longer before I try a 70 towards the end of the year !

If you log on and look at your friends, you will see who is active. Them click on their current activity and it shows the map. SWAMBO uses it to know when to start making breakfast when I'm out for a ride :-)

Thanks for the inputs. The Omni seems the strongest/best of the bunch and is "classified" as a top-end machine whereas the Breville gets good reviews for middle of the range options. Suppose it's like a carbon-fibre 29" duallie but I ride an entry level Merida now ... So where do I want to be vs what is realistic for my expected usage ;-)
