Apparently our 6-month wedding anniversary ... Came back from Ethiopia yesterday so luckily bought perfume at duty-free so had something to give back as well ... hopefully this anniversary thing does down soon :-)

First VG, enjoyed the 1/2. Walked most if the hills due to traffic from E, but to be fair even if I was alone there I wouldn't be good enough to cycle it all. Couple of unnecessary stops on single tracks where people walked where I think cycling was reasonable, but I was there as well 2 years ago so not complaining. I must just do better and earn a better seeding! So now the 70 next year but first Hakahana ...

The deluxe version is pretty neat ...

Luckily I'm doing the 1/2 but seems even that has an interesting challenge or two! If I survive I will do the 70 as part of a dare next year ...

Please remind me on which site we could see the profile with the water points. The official site shows the profile and Endomondo route but not the water points ....

Dropped from D to E in the 1/2, but Cullinan was a disaster for me (I blame the puncture for my time) ... See you guys around :thumbup:

Fantastic event! Our team of 6 finished only 19th but what a fun weekend. Had plenty fun supporting a couple on a tandem as well as our Neighbour that did the 24hr solo ... Freedom trail tote-bag confirmed his credentials but he had to withdraw unfortunately. Will rethink our strategy about (not) sleeping for the next event ;-)

Sent email to address on website last week, no answer yet. Called the number, lady couldn't answer any questions as she "wasn't involved with the event". Don't know why she would then answer the phone or why not give my details to Walt to respond.

Placed an order for light on Sunday night, received them 10:30 on Tuesday. Excellent service! Now I need to win this light to compliment those that I bought ;-)

Need some advice please: Are we going to park on a sports field so we can pitch a tent and gazebo? I realise it isn't a campsite so will bring gas braai or battery powered lights but any chance of making a charcoal braai somewhere on Sat eve? My first 24hr event so what else do I need to know :-)
