Heard the sad news yesterday of the passing of Lionel Murray of Freewheel Cycology. What an energetic guy, passionate about cycling and life. Will be missed in the cycling community. We’ve lost a legend. Strongs to his family and friends. Ride on Lioney.

Any ideas, comments on the debonair brain vs normal SID brain setup? What have others experienced?

Hi Any advice on where in cape town i can have the front and rear shocks fine tuned. Yeah I tried a lot of variations, youtube etc. reading manual etc. Yor I'm struggling to find sweet spot on this bike. Thx

Icetech rotors with metal fin pads - I've ridden consistently for 3 yrs, it lasts way longer. Once I experimented with resin fin pads - a waste of time it was.

Great event so far!!! Timing though is exceptionally frustrating, with chips not working. 2nd year in a row the timing is a fokop! Will it be a hat trick - ie messed up timing for next year also????? The credibility of a great event is being compromised through the timing problems.

Thanks goodness - Energade in 2015 was just terrible. Perhaps nobody saying it - Energade causes non-stop farts.

Organisers must consider making the start for long route at 7am - 830am is way too late. Can we get organisers to give feedback please.

Just want to confirm is the 65km route starting at 7am - Ive entered but can't find the correct information anywhere.

Disaster - route markers all over the place - the event ended in shambles. Our bunch with leading ladies Finished 35 of the 70kms due to incorrect or no route markers! Organisers a refund or credit towards next trailseeker cpt race would be a consolation.

Actually if you can afford the epic there will always be entries available. Let these entries just lapse and choose your own partner!

So just to prove again how mickey mouse Cycle sure is. They use to have a R 12/month cycle hire addition to their policy, which I signed up for. So I crash in a race and need a new frame, meaning I'm going to be without a bike for at least 2 weeks. But Cyclesure gives me a damn hard time on the claim, cutting the replacement value etc. Then I excercise that cycle hire add-on and hire me a Specialized Roubaix - i.e. more or less similiar to what I'm use to riding right. Lets not go into how much that cost them, but I was smiling. Needless to say i got my new bike within record time cause the bike shop charged them a daily rate. Anyway not longer after that, Cyclesure removed that cycle hire option from their policy. Again - Cyclesure is crap!

Cyclesure is crap!!! They make you feel like you are trying to cheat them. Every cent gets calculated and they try to pay out nothing or as little as possible. Even their assessors have an attitude. An insurer is suppose to help you in your time of need, and make it easy. Ultimately you pay them every month for that peace of mind. If you have to worry what and if they going to pay, then they not doing their job. I've been with Mutual & Federal over 3 years and am impressed every time - they pay out within 2-3 days. They ask for a quote and explanation and pay out. They treat you like a valued client, not a thief. All my insurance is with MF , assets, business, cars, house. I claim very little, but am comfortable paying MF the extra premium, cos I know they will be there when I need it. Once again Cyclesure is crap!!!

Every year the 99er has issues - big bunches, no climbs at beginning and with rain previous years it guaranteed drama. This year no rain but still large bunches, small time gaps between bunches and gravel road. Organizers please get this right or cancel the race altogether. For the premium entry we paying we EXPECT to be on a safe route at least!

How long to finish the long route MTB for decently fit rider.

whats the route like for the MTB race. What about single track and enjoyment factor Would like to know
