I agree and I was careful (my opinion of course). I certainly did not race to get past the car and would have been quite happy for the motorist to go ahead of me. By the amount of time that lapsed from me seeing the car and it stopped and the time I reached the car it appeared that the car was waiting for me to cross. It seems my interpretation was wrong.

The thought crossed my mind, however we live in the same suburb and our paths are bound to cross sometime again. I'd rather not provoke the person and be roadkill next time round.

I had a real scary moment this morning on my ride into work. Left at 6h30 this morning so it was nice and dark. I had all my lights on, with batteries charged. That is two front lights, one constant and one blinking and two rear lights blinking. Less than a km from my home, the road is slightly up hill, I am a bit unfit so going rather slowly. I approach a T-junction , with me being on the primary road and a car joining in from the secondary road. There is a stop for the secondary road. I check out the car, the car is waiting, I pass in front of the car, the driver decides to go as I am right in front of the car. Next thing I hear is my nobblies grazing the bumper of the car :eek: . Fortunately the motorist woke up from his / her brain freeze and stopped. I pulled off to the far side of the rode to catch me breath and thank God I am alive. The motorist drove off without a word. I saw the motorist at the next intersection, but decided to just keep peddling. All I can say. Be safe out there!

I have an SH+ zeus helmet and have had no complaints whatsoever. I havent gove as far as crash testing it yet, but I am happy with mine

It would be good if the Aussies can put together a big total and put the Brits under some pressure. Wouldn't mind Oz winning this test and add some fire to the competition.

Conditioning makes a huge difference. I've been off the bike for about 3 weeks and getting up in the mornings is really hard when its dark and cold. I feel like a wimp. When you're regularly riding in the mornings its so much easier.

The only thing is, that the Pakistani team is not all that different from South Africa, except for Saeed Ajmal. Therefore a wicket that suits them should be a wicket that suits us.

I had a couple of those and am often reminded how awesome it is to commute by bike. The only thing that gets me at the moment is the freezing cold of getting on the bike at 6 in the morning. Still always happy to have cycled

I'm stoked about the branch opening in Cape Town. I can easily pop in before my commute home. In fact it would have been very useful if the shop was open this week already.

Quite convenient to just ignore the context of the game. With a 9 point difference there is little hope of overturning the result and the last few minutes,but with a 2 point difference there is everything to play for. All you need is a penalty or a drop goal.

I had a very disappointing Burger experience, but have only myself to blame Started in D group and had a fantastic start. Was on target and probably doing better time than expected. 3km after the T junction turning to Paarl my front wheel overlapped with a rider in front of me and I snapped 4 spokes. Rookie error. STUPID, STUPID, STUPID!!!! Guess what I won't be doing again. Anyway, so I pulled over and started walking back to the drinks station. Capcha drove past and offered me a lift. Thanks Capcha, you are a legend. Two lifts in two rides. At the drinks station another guy stops, also from D group, with a buckled rear wheel. So I give him my rear wheel, so at least one of us can ride. Well done on finishing with a 3h05. Then I helped a lady replace her tube. She lost her pump on the ride and I offered to use one of my bombs. Not thinking and still upset, I installed the bomb with the valve open. Doh (headslap moment) OK so we decided to try a second bomb. That went better and she was on her way. Another gentlemen struggled to replace his wheel, so I went to help him and soon he was on his way too. It was nice to play mechanic while waiting for my wife to come and collect me. She is a legend! Disappointment is a difficult emotion to deal with, but you sure learn a lot from it. Looking forward to complete my first Burger long ride in 2013.

Hi guys I snapped 4 spokes on my front wheel, Mavic Aksium, over the weekend. Where would you guys take your wheel for a repair. The Northern suburbs would be preferred, but if I need to go somewhere else, so be it. Thanks

It was a beautiful day in South African cricket It shows again that one mustn't write off our players early on in the game. They have shown real character to fight back the way they did, and while many wrote them off. keep it up boys.
