  1. I Know it cops a lot of flak from some people but I have just started using Epic Pro. Tell you what for me it does work. I actually recover on the bike. 2 road races on it and 2 PBs. On the first I felt like I had popped a gasket but took it easy for +- 1km and believe it or not suddenly there was gas in the tank. Some guys may not like it but its the best product I have ever used.
  2. Please can someone also forward me the pdf. Please!!!! sdpont@crawfordschools.co.za
  3. Only done it once, ages ago. Anyone guess what a 2h45 amashova equates to??????
  4. Aside from insurance claims, What about a Merida. If you stuck with Cycle-lab they stock merida and you can get a scultura 907-com for +-R28 000. Got a Merida 96 MTB and love it.
  5. Dan Hugo did have a mechanical, Was lying 2nd heading into T2
  6. Both are great bikes, ride a Merida 96 myself(Surprisingly)and love it. I KNOW you would love both. You really cant go wrong.
  7. Stewie 911 You think just like I do!!!
  8. Just a quick question, My wife has just got into MTb and rides on continental race king 2.0 tyres. Can I convert them to tubeless. She currently has put sealent in her tubes but it seem to add a lot to the weight of the bike and also just kills the rolling resistance. is that normal?? I ride Kenda Small block 8 tubeless and have none of the above problems. Thanks
  9. Real fun event called Urban Rage. at www.maxcluer.com If you here then try take part!
  10. Also used them, used to eat 1 sweet every 10kms when I was a runner. transferred that to cycling and they worked a charm. Why not substitute for the bio-plus sweets if you cant get Vitrace. they work just as well. (remember all they do is stop you sugar levels dropping, thats why you gotta eat them constantly)
  11. Just a thought. Why is longer better? Why does everyone put more emphasis on longer races in MTB. Its like saying, in running terms, that Paula Radcliff is better than Usain Bolt, just cos she runs further. Personally I much prefer the shorter MTB races. I am competative and do far better in them. I do them not because I cant ride 70/80 or even 100kms, have done Hill2Hill in the past, But because I prefer riding them. I always have to put up with chirps like its the kiddies race etc. Sometimes wish the chirpers would ride against the top junior men etc and see how far they get! All I want to know is why is longer better?
  12. I Hear you!!!.... Seing the coastal provinces are playing Rugby next weekend and the others arent. Something said for being balanced!!
  13. Surely Woolies can stock what they like?? Seeing it is their shop? Are we gonna complain cos Cyclelab doesnt stock Silverback, being an S.A. brand and all. Is Cyclelab being unpatriotic? Are some of us so insecure?
  14. I Agree, you cannot pay R240 bucks entry (The same entry as 94.7) and just get a a pair of socks !!! This was my 5th ride and the incentives just keep getting smaller! I would suggest to the organisers that they get sorted or else this race will fade to mediocrity. You want to be seen in the same light as Argus and 94.7 you gotta provide the same service. I spent hour at the expo at both of those races in the past.
