  7. well, Ou Kaapse is far more difficult but less windy, probably safer imo
  8. Being a newbie, never rode the argus down that section, although with the roadworks it may be a bit wider hopefully..
  9. Was hoping someone could ask Helen Zille during the race. Saw so many accidents over Boyes drive during the race, it's not ideal for a race like the Argus with so many novices taking part
  10. Hey man, really sorry about your bike. A while ago there was a thread on the hub where a guy's stolen bike ended up at a store in Plumbstead - there are some dodgy places out there. Keep a lookout on gumtree (and other popular classifieds) and contact all the stores you can in your area to let them keep a lookout because these guys will have to sell the bike somewhere and may not have the know-how to take it apart

  16. Hey guys Currently have a set of Giant P-R2's which came standard on my bike and are apparently 'weighing it down' according to the experts out there. Anyone have a set of those and know the weight? Need to take off the cassette to see the weight which is a hassle. I'm trying to work out the cost/benefit of a new set here and also what is considered light for a set of wheels?
  17. spring in derailleur broke on Boyes drive,got it to Simons town but the mechanics couldn't fix it. tried converting it to a fixie which also didn't work edit:typo
