  1. Ok guys i got bored today and went searching for something bike-orientated..so found some no-wet car polish and if you have bought this stuff u know its some serious hight end stuff. I just want to show you what magic it works. The pics dont do justice. I know my bike is nothing special but its my baby so here. these pics were taken in the shade and this polish uses no water at all just spray the stuff on wait 10 seconds or so and take 2 cloths one to wipe off the excess then the other to do your karate kid wax on wax off motions..(dont even have to do that just wipe ) so here you go..
  2. my friend has got one of these in the white on white spec..realy nice bike good value for money

  5. it is an awesome trial it branches into different routes also, i go there often but cant make it a regular thing coz all my friends are lazy vetties and dont want to join me and riding alone has become too dangerous. if u guys wouldnt mind a keen laaitie joning u sometime pm me and ill be there.
  6. thats exactly what im scared of as i like to go hot into corners then i always find the bike understeering a lot so was thinking .maybe get a moerse DH tyre in the front then get a skinny 1.9 superlight xc tyre at the back to make up for the weight of the DH tyre?? what u think?
  7. can you buy them in a ready to use no feeding needed re-sealable box?? if so ill take 2.

    Tyre width

wider tyres makes your bike look that much more sexy and also makes your head bigger by that much..so its win win
  9. Being a person of colour I always get intimidated by all the cool hardcore guys with the shades and 20 waterbottles straped to every space on their bike then when they look at you its like they gna come slice your tyres or something..but then when u walk by u get a friendly greeting and u feel welcome . then i dont feel so bad being the only one there
  10. haha im a coloured MTB'er hard to find them also.
  11. what happens if you want to be hardcore and post a pic of the muddy dirty bike(coz u so hardcore) but then dont want the wife to rip your balls of for making dirty?? then what?
  12. my bike took me 8.9km to a thai resturant today to meet some family..was awesome

  14. Hi all last week i bought my first half decent mtb and been riding alot, my aspect35 is currently sitting at about 13kg and when climbing i find it a bit sluggish so i was thinking of slowly but surely upgrading the bike and my goal is around 10kg mayb if im lucky. I was wondering where do i start as i cant lay down large sums of money for a whole new bike. I was thinking the first step would be doing a tubeless conversion and then investing in a slx crank maybe? here are the specs of the bike. http://www.google.co.za/url?sa=t&source=web&cd=1&ved=0CBkQFjAA&url=http%3A%2F%2Fbikereviews.com%2Fmountain-bikes%2Fscott%2F2010-scott%2Fscott-aspect-35-disc-mountain-bike%2F&ei=XNYPTevMD8rBswaFvayEDQ&usg=AFQjCNGE8si6NCqvLW61M2ycTJ-AovUDjw
  15. guys i basicly want to know..is it a good tyre for the front end of my bike..and i think i should do a poll coz im getting vibes from both sides..
  16. also im topping the scale at 59kg so i dont think sidewall slash would be a problem?? i cant even get my fork to compress more than 73mm and its rated for 120mm...
  17. gees thanks all for the comments and replies..my current tyres the schwalbe black jack light skin only weighs 570g each i think i will just keep those rather and do a ghetto tubeless conversion as my bike is already topping the scale at 12.9kg so hoping the tubeless might shave 400g or so off?? what you guys think?? and then rather spending the money that i would have spent on the crossmarks on a lighter seat post or something??
  18. from that i take it you running tubeless?? if so hows the wear?? and by not as strong as u hoped..what exactly do you mean please?
  19. Hi there im looking at purchasing a new front tyre a maxxis crossmark http://www.cwcycles.co.za/product/maxxis-crossmark-ust-tyre I mostly do XC riding and like every where where there is a path..so general riding, mud , dirt , singletrack etc etc. I was wondering is this tyre worth the money over my current schwalbe black jack http://www.cambriabike.com/shopexd.asp?id=93597 im only gna buy one for the front..will it give me more grip in the corners over loose ground like gravel or looseish sand than my current tyres?? or should i rather play around with my tyre pressures etc??
  20. no ways..lower the seat make your tyres bit softa like 1.7bar and fix your rear breaks then u got something you can pomp around on..try as spend as little money as possible on it..i had a old diamondback laying around did the same thing with it..i did some forest mountain riding..and came too hot into a corner and rolld..down the mountain side..i stopped halfway..and bike missioned all the way down to bottom...i got it to the top again to find the only thing wrong was the brake lever was a bit bent...thats all..those old bikes are forking strong ekse!! joh musnt push thank you for reading my useless comment
  21. got the scott..and love it now for some upgrading
  22. i finaly scraped together enough money to buy me a half decent mtb
