  1. This is an extract from an email I received from the organisers over the weekend: "ROUTE We have had a number of queries of late with regard to Chapman's Peak. As matters stand at the moment, we are negotiating with both Entilini and the local and provincial authorities re the use of Chappies for the Tour. We have formally requested the Provincial Administration to ensure that the pass is open for the event as part of our permit application. We have scheduled a meeting with the Provincial Authorities and will be issuing a press release covering all aspects of the route and finish area shortly"
  2. Jeez TNT, sublety isn't one of your strong suits hey? Opel, are you looking for road or mtb?

  7. Have fun guys! Would love to join you but not at that speed *grump*
  8. I think the title "King of Bling" was a dead giveaway
  9. It doesn't look like the official results are up on the website yet, Ronelle. I think the weather's slowed things down!!
  10. Well, I dunno if a 4-day stage race could be a jol but it looks like a fantastic race!!
  11. Absolutely!!!! I think that's a fantastic idea, turtlek!
  12. I took a drive through to the race from Hazyview this morning and saw the first 14 teams come in looking dirty but still strong! Very impressive riding especially considering there was 1900m of climbing in today's stage. I'm going to brave the coffee ride tomorrow morning and have definitely put this race on my To-Do List for 2009 ... I reckon I've got enough time to train, don't you?
  13. Absolutely fantastic morning out with other Hubbers. Even the weather decided to play nice! Nancy, you've set the standard really high for future Hub rides .. the facilities were incredible! Thanks so much for all your effort - I hope we behaved well enough to be invited back *hint hint* And Loon, I hope your fiance enjoyed her first 'real' outride enough to want to do it again
  14. Who fell ? Was it one of our bunch ? Nope, as Loon said it was one of three racing snakes that came past his fiance and me on the way back. He tried to get back on his bike and keep riding but eventually one of his buddies had to go and fetch the car for him.
  15. You definitely did, dd! It was drizzling on our way out to Hekpoort this morning but cleared up shortly after the ride started. Things had definitely heated up by the time we reached the top of Breedt's though
  16. Fantastic morning out on the bike and an awesome bunch of people to ride with. Thanks to Nancy Drew for the carpark, coffee, muffins and of course the use of your pool!!
  17. Ah, it will be sad not to have you and your boys there Pocketbikes! Never considered the distance for them either
  18. Two (road and mtb) ... both bought off the hub
  19. I think that I'll join you guys for this one too
  20. I think it's going to be a great ride!! See you all on Sunday
  21. Not sure how many of these I'll actually get to do: Argus 94.7 Amashova Kremetart Sani2C Karoo 2 Coast Duzi Mfula And there are a whole lot of other races that Hubbers have suggested that I want to look into!
  22. I'll be there ... and I've convinced two friends to join us.
  23. Nope, it's slow and I've had quite a few posting glitches today too!
