  1. Too early in the morning to think of that, I think i must get a coffee
  2. ITS a 1987 Battaglin , which is in pieces now, wanted to do a piant job like Ronelle did on her sons bike , but alas its quite pricey, so will have to live with original paint work, when I rebuild. Dont have those forks anymore but some carbon forks.
  3. We all should have one of those cycle awareness stickers on our cars. If we in Slaapstadt can attract 30 000 plus cyclist for the Argus, maybe they can put these stickers in our goody bags or for every PPA renewal and related clubs/ cycle bodies country wide can do the same.
  4. GL, 30 Jan 09 is still a while away, we must keep this alive till then. Now poor Chris is dead and this little sh!t gets to spend xmas at home.
  5. And they let that little creep/nerd stay at the cape grace for a week for nothing.
  6. Thanks Ronelle

  10. Im in , with bells an whistles ,we should go there on mass on our bikes. he goes to court tomorrow. He slept off the alcohol/drugs and then handed himself in. Wow what a big man with a big ........................And will probably get a suspended sentence like the other guy.
  11. Who me? Cervelo R3 with Campy chorus and the wheels with the red spoke
  12. Good , good nite and go to bed and feel good when you climb that hill tomorrow at 25km /h, how much stronger you will be on that heavier bike. And when you get that nice light bike you will fly and appreciate it. hot stuff2008-11-16 13:28:09
  13. What sickens you? that he has a nice bike and he can't climb. You know if I had R80 000 to buy that limited edition cervelo TT bike , and i cant climb fast, why should it piss u off because I dont deserve to ride a nice bike. I agree maybe it is cheaper to loose weight than spend R10000.00 for every gram that makes the bike lighter. When i was younger it was always the old people who drove the big luxury cars and sports cars. Now its the 30 somethings that can afford these things. Some who can afford nice things or nice bikes make him/her feel a million dollars while he is climbing up that hill however slowly. You know what I like about my expensive bike is that you dont hear a sound out of the mechanics, its quite its smooth, and yea i feel sorry for that poor dude who is climbing the same hill as me at the same speed and his bike squeeks all the way to the top. Just think of them as lucky, or maybe unlucky because he is paying the bike off over the next 2 years. Since we are a nation of over spending or spending what we dont have.
  14. You know we can only believe that karma will happen , as the last guy got a suspended sentance, a slap on the wrist as far as I am concerned.
  15. RIP Chris and condolences to the family
  16. WOW thats good driving. I wonder if Ken Block could teach me to reverse a horse box
  17. free has the guy/girl been on line since this thread started.
  18. I was taking my trailer to the dump with horse manure and this was very heavy. My 2 grooms neglected to hitch it properly, I neglected to check. Came down my steep hill , no problem, turned into ladies mile and the next thing the trailer was overtaking me on the left, and then crashed. i shudder to think what would have happened if there were pedestrians on the pavement. And as it turned out, a couple of kids arrived on the scene a couple of seconds later totally oblivious of what had just happened. had they arrived earlier, i am sure i would be locked up by now
  19. I agree name and shame
  20. In truth, Professor Crump said, Parktown residents should be grateful that it migrated here. Given their druthers, prawns will eat garden snails all night long rather than hop into the dog dishes where they are often found on wet summer mornings. She worries that they may be threatened. Another South Africa native that has adapted to urban gardens, the hadeda ibis, enjoys prawn dinners. Fat gray hadedas, named for their raucous "hah-dee-dah" cries, are on the increase and prawns "are getting harder to find each year," Professor Crump said sadly.
