  7. Now that PM makes sense, Did this ride the weekend after this post, great ride but yes sadly you have to do some tar work. Haven't done this ride in two months so can't say what has changed
  8. What is wrong with chum, it is just blood in the water. <?: prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> In the game parks we build watering holes to attract game. I'm against the feeding of sharks that definitely creates a behavior change. Sharks are designed to follow sent trails in the water, they do this every day. You either find a natural one from say a dead whale or you create one. Sharks are regarded as scum, and many sports and industries kill them off for fun or just in plain disregard. Shark tourism is actually helping to stem the tide, because having them around equals? money. Take Aliwal Shoal, you have two options Wreck or Sharks diving, The reefs aren't the great and with the current running most days, the majority of people dive in hope of seeing shark. I think not allowing responsible Shark diving and shark attraction methods would do more harm in the long run. More people talk fondly about sharks through these encounters than ever before.
  9. Sorry forgot to add, that's a 25kg load size washing drum!!
  10. Open Water scuba dive with Tiger Sharks. They don't feed the sharks either the drum in the picture is filled with chum "Blood and Guts" The Shark in picture is named "Double Tag". At the base of her dorsal fin she has two tags. Id and the remains of a radio tag. Very large critter, all the sharks on the seen posture for postition around the drum. My friend and I floated too close to the drum and she gave us a solid bump.

  15. The worse part, no has told the staff yet. We went there on friday and saw the guys still busy cleaning the track and trimming the grass which looked a bit odd considering the place was closing on sunday. We stopped and chatted to the guys and it turns out they had no clue the place was closing. Thats off sides!

  17. Hi BBi Myself and a small group of friends ride most weekends, around westrand. I stay in Honeydew Manor close to the Sasol garage, we do touch tar from time to time! Its the nature of the area. An average ride is about 40km. We aren't racing snakes so the pace is average. We are looking to do a ride this saturday of about 50km, you are welcome to join
  18. Its a simple economic principle, Charge the maximum you believe you clients prepared to pay. If your clever you will throw in specials on trivia items to real in the customer, once you have him in your clutches, you will convince him he needs better. You them up-sell him and make your millions. In a point its called sales!!! People are not in business for the greater good of man kind.

  22. I don't know how companies like bikehut stay in business. First Order. "Fooled me once - Shame on you" Ordered some odds and ends, reason i ordered from them is because they were the only on-line shop that was advertising North Face hydration pack bite values. Please click no confirmation email, so i send a email the next day requesting confirmation of the order. No reply for three days! Tried phoning, after a few attempts they answered and promised that my order would be dispatched tomorrow. A week went past this time and nothing, so i phoned again. This time the story was no stock, and they didn't know when they would get. I canceled the order. Second Order "Fooled me twice - Shame on me" My brother sent me a link to their specials page, the catch was that he was buttering me up in the hope that i would order something. My brother doesn't have a credit card and this was his way of asking me me to order some stuff for him. So a placed the second order. Same routine is unfolding, they really have no clue. The last empty promise was made on the 29th April. I was promised that the order would be sent on the 30th April. My last email of the 20th May has still not been replied to. My advise, rather use your LBS before trying this local bunch of tools.
