So in an epic fail we arrived for said kids party a day early. Oops I never got to take this stunner out!

A closer look, it’s an indented subtle design. Understated, gentlemanly and highly distinguished.

i set them a touch high for as my father is taking the bike on its maiden ride tomorrow - i will be at a kids birthday party. i value my fathers thoughts on bikes - he is a multiple RSA champ and World champ in XC and i know he'll be honest about how it rides. the hope is this feels as good as his Mason Resolution - the pinnacle of an astounding ride when all out speed is not a factor.

And finally the finished product! its amazing how as a build progresses you start to realise just how incredible the finished bike is going to turn out. the pictures say it all. this is one hell of a head turner!

The workstation got uncharacteristically messy!

Wiring this was a nightmare. Had to ditch the campy method and improvise a little as getting the wiring through the bars proved impossible.

Question for the hubbers. black or brown tape? I’m leaning toward brown

Gotta give it up to campy on their wheels. best looking finish in the business! and the bearings! I spun the wheel on a jig I have and it rolled for ages. I mean it just kept going and going and going. and when it could not do full revolution anymore the wheel proceeded roll back and forward for what seemed like an age! I think I’m going to make that my new party trick when in the presence of my cycling mates

Fitting Campy makes me realise how much i love the Sram AXS system. what a fiddly nightmare

A good mix up today

i was happy to race it and never had issues - 68kg rider The comfort of the bike well outweighed the extra weight - without a shadow of a doubt i was arriving at the end of races with more energy in the legs to help me get closer to the front. my lightweight bikes(Look 586 and Ritte Ace both weighting 6.9kgs) always had me feeling slightly jaded near the end. sure it never felt or reacted like a 6.9kg bike. but i'd take it out over all others on any local course. it was just a better bike. now i ride Parlee RZ7 - a bike that is all about comfort with aero and i love it. not super light, certainly lighter than the older madone, but its a lovely bike to ride.

I saw those, not the sexiest of stems. The leverage on those means the bars change angle on you when the suspension compresses(they start to angle downward) not sure how much of a problem that would really be, but a big bump might give you the feeling you are going over the front. With the Vecnum the bars do not tip downward - a cleaver design. granted you have to pay for that

It's growing on me. i think its the type of bike that looks better in the flesh. i was not a fan of the older frame at all - but after riding it it was hard to dispute how good it was

money aside - its looks like the best option if your local trails are slightly rougher than you'd like money not aside - its cheaper than those gravel specific forks

try this. deactivate the VPN. Fully shut down all devices - leave them off for 10seconds. start them again. log into GCN+ and try stream any service that is available WITHOUT THE VPN - like one of the documentaries. if that works we know its not GCN+ thats the issue should help you isolate the problem

100% agree. i used to enable the VPN on my router and watch GCN+ using the my samsung TV's app. that app appears to be broken though - has not worked for the better part of a year (apparently they are aware of the issue and trying to fix it) i've since moved to my Macbook - i run the VPN on only the macbook and airplay the broadcast to my TV
