I’ve only ever had non readings in high traffic situations which I think is expected. this has slowly got better as new firmware and software has rolled out. also when in a larger group of riders it cannot accurately see through all the bodies and bikes in the way. In general riding out in the cradle I have otherwise found it to be extremely accurate.

I have one of the standard units and feel naked leaving the house without it. They are a game changer for road safety. i generally ride more in the road, and when it beeps move over to the left to allow the car to pass. Saves my tires from unwanted glass and rubbish on the left edge of the road. all my ride buddies who do not have a radar have linked their head units to my radar. Makes for a safer more informed group ride.

That’s odd, I agree the GP 5000s are my go to tires. But they are getting silly expensive and will react just like any other tire if you hit the wrong piece of glass. makes for an expensive puncture. the Goodyears I have are at around 3000km and have been brilliant at a 3rd of the price of the GPs my Vittoria graphine 2.0 are nearly toast at 4000km. The tread is pretty much gone. They are the most expensive tire of the lot and also the most comfortable, but have a very limited lifespan.

Curiosity got the better of me and i ordered a pack of these glucose sensors to experiment with. They arrived over the weekend and i am now in day 3 of wearing a sensor. What does a Big Mac Meal do? - coke zero obvs! Fruits? Milk? How about a Gu while on the bike? what about a boozy afternoon of beers? GnT anyone? i'll share here as i get more data

While there is nothing wrong with Shimano, for the last 2 years they have been less than pathetic when it comes to spare parts. Sram wins out easily just based on being able to run the bike knowing you will find a cassette, chain or some other obscure part.

1000% I have tried. Was a hit and run case in the cradle. Multiple witnesses, Multiple statements taken. All the evidence needed for a conviction. Followed all the way through for it to be thrown out. Had a full thread on it in here a few years back. I'm not here to beat a dead horse, I'm at peace with the reality that is South Africa. I also have a contingency plan to get out of dodge when the time comes.

The police exist for one purpose in this country - to get a case number for insurance claims. as for the formal justice system, It is a joke. There is a reason township justice exists.

I know of a local prominent racer who road for a couple years without noticing he had a 172.5 on the left and a 175 on the right. we are talking top top local rider from a number of years back. never noticed. never had any issues. he did of course change it when we found it.
