  1. If that had happened in Gauteng, Astana would be looking for another rider...
  2. I dont think you are entirely correct Chrispy. Simon Kessler won right from being schoolboy, up to elite, as did Garen Bloch. I'm sure there are others as well. Selection is always going to be a bone of contention, but it should be more neutral. I blamed many an exclusion from a track team on nepitism...but in hindsight, it was only because I was not good enough.
  3. I agree Mark...PM me for the number.
  4. Why not get on a plane, and go there yourself? If he touches you, lay a charge and make it very difficult. Lawyers are gonna cost you a lot, and maybe he is just taking a liberty because you are so far away?! But the legal way, albeit the best way, is gonna cost you dearly...
  5. Working in Israel?? Ok, thats a drastic change from cycling!! Thanks Poison Ivy!!
  6. The dude in VDBJL is a woes, but I do have his number if you want it!! I've used him to get rid of tenants I didnt want...Just speak slowly to him!!
  7. I agree fully. There should be no biased, or any other influence on a selection panel. Ever...
  8. Shortlegs, I dunno what Wheels was rambling on about. Dont think he knows either.
  9. Oh...gotcha!! So he posted this thread, and he put Cervelo & Silverback in the same poll!! I like his style, and optimism!! Where are Silverback made?? SA?
  10. Olivier?! I'm lost...
  11. Yip...Silverback!! Its a kind of Ape, made famous by Diane Fossey. She & Digit hung out in the African jungles... And it'll probably outlive the Cervelo...
  12. Oh Delgado, I feel like I have sold my soul for 30 sheckels of silver!! I'm meeting with Scorpione next week, gotta say, I'm going the Pinarello route!! But my heart lies with Colnago still...
  13. What about Georcetti? (is that how you spell it?!?!) And Simoncini? Pegoretti?? Who has ever heard of "Villiger?" Thats a wicked bike, but not Italian!!!
  14. Ok, I vote Pinarello. Because they are a lot more scarce than Colnago's. But if anybody see's someone on a black C40 wearing a balaclava around the SOUTH, tell him I want it back!!!!
  15. Common sense and cyclist in the same sentence?? Not likely!!!
  16. I will!!
  17. Second place was 7seconds slower? Ok,thats quite a bit. But I believe Blignaut is quite a beast. Jaco, I'm glad to see your promoting the track, I really like your site, keep it up.
  18. Funny...I actually thought of saying that!! But I have never ridden one, so I refrained from saying so!! Pinarello claim that the likes of Perreiro and Valverde use the Dogma, instead of the full carbon F431313131? Just for angles? Whatever the case, I love Italian bikes. And I was sponsored with a Pinarello to race on the track and it was faultless...I need another one!!!
  19. Where is Garen Bloch?? Its such a pity that riders slip through into obscurity... I still want to know what the time for the Elite Kilo at SA's was last year?? And the quickest qualifier and time at SA's for the sprint????
  20. This is very tough. I have always ridden Colnago's on the road, but I had a lot of success on the track with my Pinarello....AAAAARRRRGGGHH!!! Colnago? Pinarello?? Pinago????!!!
  21. What crap is Shortlegs causing?? He did not say anything about the Los Angeles selection. Ok Wheels...to blatantly call somebody "Dum" and comment that they must "still be stupid"...thats not on. Not at all. I think as an official, you owe a couple apologies here. Selection is always a very difficult thing to do, I understand that. Its not a job that I would want to do personally...as I am sure everyone will give you crap for the choices made. Grootlem, I fully agree that we need to spend time developing the younger riders. Thats where our cycling future lies. Lets all support track...please!!
  22. Old Dog...I'll leave it there. Robbie was very good though.
  23. Selected...and went!! Yip, but that was a long time ago!! Thanks for remembering G!!! I dunno why you (Shortlegs) were not selected for the tri nations in 99. I'd have been super p!$$#d if I was you...
  24. Ouch!! I've sat on a tree stump...does that count?!?!
  25. Martin has been very consistent from what I've seen & heard. Yes, he is a licensed Elite...and a strong one at that!!
