  1. From what I saw when he was still fresh in the early rounds, his hand speed is too slow, and his reach too short to become a world class boxer. But that is just my assessment.
  2. I think that is the top selling cabinet saw at the moment in the US.
  3. OK, but that is for the portable one on a trolley (although that site confuses you with the default pic it shows, making you think you are buying the cabinet saw). I want the cabinet one. The cabinet one has a much bigger top, better fence and stronger motor. For more than double the price though. This is what you are are actually buying: https://www.toolcraft.co.za/collections/sawstop/products/sawstop-jobsite-saw-with-mobile-cart I want this one: https://www.toolcraft.co.za/collections/sawstop/products/sawstop-industial-cabinet-saw-250mm-3hp-36-fence-and-table
  4. People paid how much to watch this fight? Was like looking at a club boxer fighting a world champ.
  5. Best option most of the time for doing walls is to remove the old plaster and then to redo it properly. I can imagine your vocabulary increased after tiling uneven walls,
  6. Ja swaar. And things don't look good for next dry season. Already lost around 10 shrubs and half the lawn in my garden. I want to redo my front garden, but there is no point if I can't give it the watery love it needs to survive the summer. In other news: I think I am going to save some money up to buy a Sawstop Cabinet Saw. I know it is a lot of money, but I have 2 boys that also want to start using the table saw, and I fear that they don't have the needed respect yet for that machine. As most young boys, they are quite gung ho.
  7. I feel like telling the business team to KMA, shut down my PC and go for a ride. I can't bear looking at all of these pics. My Skype contacts from the company has been spamming me non-stop today.
  8. What can I say. I am an airplane and jet fighter nut.
  9. Prefer this version of the video....

  11. Coming up sometime this week ...
  12. Just for you. http://www.supertool.com/StanleyBG/stan0a.html You are not alone. Welcome to the Galoot club. Just a pity that Made In USA Stanleys are very rare in SA. I was only able to find one so far. A Bailey #4 made around the time of the war. I guess about 1943 - 1945.
  13. Used my new Lie Nielsen 5/8" Bench Chisel for the first time today. Used it out of the box, no sharpening at all, it cut ooh so nice. I am in love with that chisel, even if it cost me a thousand bucks.
  14. Thicknessers, Planers and Molders are more scary to me than the Table Saw. They can mangle a hand in now time.
  15. This.
  16. Was at Staalwater today with my wife and oldest boy, sitting out with my knee. My wife completely surprised me coming in at 2h40 for the 42km. My son did 2h01, but he can do better, as he admitted that he is a bit unfit at the moment.
  17. The bugger has got a Cannondale SuperSix. He ain't getting a new one. That one is good enough. Just needs better wheels and groupset.
  18. My OCD will have me a certified lunatic after one year looking at the sink.
  19. Ja. Been there, done that and complete stuffed up the job. Had severe blade deflection. If I were doing that cutting, I would cut away from the line, and then use a router to clean up the edge.
  20. We were lucky in that Darryn gave us a bleed kit for free, as they have lots of them laying around in the shop. So I got some 2.5W fork oil from the local MX guys, and did the bleeding last night together. Took us 10 minutes and the lockout is working again. So now he know how to service his hydraulic lockout. The Lefty is a completely different ball game though.
  21. Infill planes are quite easy to make, IF you have the time. The Scottish Infill Plane makers of old only had basic metalworking tools like files, hammers and anvils etc to make them. Dovetailing and peening the sole is not that difficult, but requires patience.
  22. When you cut the new tops, seal the open edges with normal white glue, not silicon. Silicon comes off after a while. The white glue won't.
  23. Hehe! Me and the boy was talking about it last night. For now he says it's OK as he knows his old man is now dirt poor. Other thing is, as any young bloke with some technical savvy, he fiddled with the bike and managed to loosen the bleeder screw on the hydraulic lockout for the rear shock because he wanted to adjust the rebound. He thought he needed to loosen that before adjusting the knob. Now his rear shock is on full lockout all the time and his old man must either get a bleed kit and fix it again, or send it to the LBS for a quick bleed. Almost gave him a klap, but then realised he was just like me 35 odd years ago.
  24. Yes. Hopefully with renewed vigor. The Spur School MTB are so flat and boring, he could just do the whole race with whole suspension on full lockout.
