Mosselbay area has some loooonngggg hills. Grootbrak hoogte about 4.5km. Brandwag hoogte about the same. Glentana is quite a killer....havn't done that one yet though. And then we have Robinson Pass going from Mosselbay to Oudtshoorn and Outeniqua Pass from George to Oudtshoorn.

This can only be uncomfortable....and probably painfull....Imagine having to change a flat on those wheels..... mbaymike2007-11-21 02:44:32

Don't wanna hijack the topic....but here in this part of the world we have a serious shortage of guys willing to put in some effort to join up and ride. Imagine a Sunday ride with only 4 or 5 guys....happens here more than often. not so nice. you guys with the big clubs must enjoy. Mosselbay is starting to wake up slowly...but still needs an occasional kick in the butt to wake up in the mornings

This really is crappy. Speedy recovery to your sister in law. I wish that the people who drive like idiotic asses get severe footrot and there feet fall off.

yep fire is never a nice thing.....but....the life that comes after that is sometimes even more beautiful. hope it will be in this case.

sorry it's not cycling but I though I would share it with you all....we have had some serious fires here in the Mosselbay & Groot Brak area. There has been some serious losses

I must say the folks around us here in Mosselbay are quite the peaceful bunch....probably cause they are more scared of the fireworks than the animals most of them are a little too old for fireworks....but yep...I hate it when people don't consider the animals around them and sometimes even their own.

I would climb a hill for this view anyday... mosselbay is way in the background just a pity it was a bit cloudy yesterday....otherwise a good ride.

damnit........do they know who was the guilty party....if so we as cyclists should push for some harsh punishment. condolences and prayers to the family.

maybe we should start approaching our local government for a dedicated lane for cycling...about 1.5m should be enough I suppose. just a thought

those are the guys that give all cyclists a bad name....if you ride like that you deserve to be injured. not saying it should happen but you are more likely to be hit....you should all come and ride here in the garden route area. went out yesterday morning and had a truck come from behind. he gave us a small hoot just to let us know that he was coming...we thanked him and gave another hoot and we were all happy....
