  1. very nice...makes me want to take the day off and go cycling
  2. most likely a seatpost and maybe one or two other goodies....
  3. I can't say that the scale I used was very accurate....It had seen better days. The seatpost is standard issue Scott and the handlebars are standard. I might be able to shave off a lot of weight there...the 10kg's on the scale included my saddle bag which consists of tool, spare tube and two bombs. I think the naked bike would come in well under 10kg's. will be looking at the seatpost later on..maybe christmas. The stem is also standard scott. I guess if I had to replace all those goodies I should be able to shave off another 300grams.
  4. my cycling partner has the polished alloy version....I am very happy with mine....size 58, easton circuit wheels and 105 groupset .....a whole 10kg's...suppose it is not to bad.
  5. thanks velo.....were you at least able to find some that do fit??
  6. bike looks very nice.....just like jules said....maybe one day you can buy a Scott..congrats!!!!!

  14. SCOTT !!!!!!!! Scotta be the best
  15. excellent!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  16. The climb out of mosselbay is called "de bakke bult"...if you not quite fit you can replace the second "b" with a "k" and there you have it. this is my local training ground. ...ps...did you guys tackle the hill on the way to george or not? 6km in length!!!!! Kaaimans ???? if so ' date=' ja. we were worried about the traffic on this section but it turned out ok. the trucks are going just a few k's faster than you up the climb. i know there is an alternative route out of mossel bay in between the houses but no-one knew of the exact roads to take.[/quote'] kaaimans is between wilderness and george....de bakke is when you leave hartenbos on the way to mosselbay.....it's the last hill before you hit a looooooong flat out of town and onto the highway in the direction of CPT.
  19. KLEIN BRAK HOOGTE.....when you do the mosselbay george mosselbay trip this is a killer. comes in after about 80km of rolling and steep climbs. after klein brak you get de bakke....see my previous post....de bakke then becomes de kakke as you have completed about 93km's...but all worth it. mbaymike2008-07-29 13:59:43
