  1. Thanks , will DM
  2. On holiday in kommetjie for a few days, looking for any group/shop rides to join. I’m on mtb. Thanks in advance.
  3. This is really excellent news, I hope they look at the Bryanston section as well which is rapidly turning into a squatter camp.
  4. Routjie which one are you using?
  5. Can anyone enlighten me to the differences between the Tacx Bushido and i-Flow ? Costs from CW Cycles : Tacx T2790 Bushido for Tablets - R10 500 Tacx T2250 I-Flow - R8 999 I want to be able to use a Tablet(or macbook) to show the tacX videos and also I am interested in the multi player online options. What extras do I need to buy over and above the trainer? Anybody using this setup please provide me with advice/feedback? Much appreciated.
  6. Also run FT 2.0 rear and GC 2.1 front, good combination and strong tyres. I've done a few races with FT 2.2 in the front but its very slippery on loose gravel track or mud... stick with ground control there
  7. Daggapad and then Pofadder to the right after the end of Daggapad climb.. good luck with repeats up there !
  8. Ditto, also have a car shuttle if anybody needs?
  9. They tried this at cradle mountain trophy, Human honesty test failed completely...
  10. - Main races are all oversubscribed - Which causes bottlenecks because dirt road riders cannot ride over a root apparently - Seeding stuff ups (Cradle mountain trophy etc) "You all just start together in a rolling start", well that systems works great doesn't it, see how people waited 1 hour at the river - Route marking failures (USN several times) as a result riders cheating and taking short cuts. I've seen more and more people doing less races because of these reasons, I mean why would I pay to ride Van Gaalens single track with 4000 other riders when I can go there any weekend with my mates and literally have the farm to myself? Doing 1 main stage race a year and maybe 1 other is enough to maintain your seeding so why bother with this other crap...
  11. Thumbs up to Evobikes !
  12. That rocky koppie we all had to hike up last year destroyed everyones legs, I was in B and nobody was riding it. Anybody know if that section will be in the race for 2014?
  13. was right behind the guy who crashed on that table top just before the playground in Delta, went straight over the bars and hit his head hard, was out cold for about 2 mins. He came too and seems he broke collarbone as well, ambulance was on its way when I left. Hope you heal fast brother!
  14. Agreed, done it for the 2nd year now and same thing happened last year, 20-25minute weight at river portage. Organisers please just route us around this section if possible, sure all riders agree? Other than that I think its a pretty challenging route, some nice rocky testing trails. Last section along fence on flattened grass also not that fun hey.
  15. Same here I am a 31 and in E, my riding partner is a 32 but he is in B.. Is this really so hard to get right? Blaming it on corrupt data come on...
  16. Had an issue with with the seat post tube being too large on my Epic; which resulted in the seat post making a clicking sound when riding. Once the issue was identified they had a new bike for me in 3 days, so in my personal experience they honour their warranties when it comes to the bikes. Accessories and shoes can't really comment but you don't really hear of that stuff failing..?
  17. Hope you enjoyed being in business Cycle Science ! Spread the word and never buy a thing from these idiots
  18. The downhill on Nguni is awesome, it's a cattle track (hence the name?! I think) , flows like a super tube. Still not sure if this is known as Oom Piets downhill or Nguni. All I know is last time I was there Eric said "ride Nguni, new section, baie lekka"
  19. + Nguni (newish section near Oom piets)
  20. You sure thats not the marathon? http://www.specialized.com/us/en/bikes/mountain/epic/epic-marathon-carbon-29#in-action US website doesn't list an "Elite" model, last reference I can find to it is a 2011 26"er bike
  21. Allez? +-12k great value for money..
  22. Totally agree also rode the Allez and Tarmac, I think the Roubaix is actually more comfy than my MTB !
  23. I almost went for the Tarmac , but so happy I was convinced to go for the Roubaix. I use it for Endurance training, as I primarily ride MTB. Good luck with the saving !
  24. The 2014 Elite model (carbon with 105) you should be able to pick up from 26k +- from Specialized concept stores. I think the Sport model as previously mentioned comes in about 23k.
  25. Roubaix, most comfortable road bike you will ride..
